Not necessarily today, with that team, although they improved a lot in the second half, hit the the bar twice, missed a penalty and could have won by 3 or 4.

I find it a bit frustrating that we really do have some tremendously talented players who are being hindered by a one-dimensional manager. Trust them by letting them loose and we might just be pleasantly surprised...
Have to agree with Jeff on this. Very boring at the moment. Southgate hands caps out to anybody at the moment. I was really looking forward to a tournament a year or so ago but its all a bit lacklustre at present. Just cant understand why this close to the opening match, players who arent even going to the euros are starting?!?!?!? Im worried about our defence. A decent team could open us up like a tin of sardines.
to be honest, I would rather England be poor, and rubbish in friendlies - try new players and formations and save the winning for the championships and competitions. The Germans seem to have mastered this..And in Grealish we have a player that does go down...a bit too easily (or am I being harsh)?
Think that is unfair everyone has seen what has happened to TTA.
No one is going risk that happening..there is a certain amount of caution.
They played within themselves... the attacking force is there.. Grealish played well... Johnstone was good. Ward Prowse...played himself into the squad ..
Only downside was Henderson..Taking the penalty away from Calvert Lewin did not show leadership or sense imho.

Nice to see Junior Hoilett get the goal at the end of the match tonight - Canada 3 - 0 Haiti. He had to get the score since Zamora wasn't there. The road to the World Cup gets a lot more difficult for Canada now
