I lived in Retford for a year or so and worked at Worksop hospital, misleadingly called Bassetlaw. My son was born there (he has just about forgiven us). We used to spend a lot of time in Sheff, closest thing to civilisation in that part of the world, as you well know. Lasted about 18 months in total, though I was commuting back to London for the last four or five of those.
Celtic ripping Rangers a new one in the latest installment of the Old Firm.. 2-0 up, with another disallowed for a bawhair VAR offside
I was on a flight once coming back from Madrid and one of my colleagues found out that one of the cabin crew was a Brentford fan so told her that I followed QPR so she had great delight in telling me that we were going to fly over the (old) Brentford stadium.
Is anyone watching Salford v MK Dons. It's like watching lockdown football, all you can hear is the players. Zero atmosphere.
I watch more awful football than anyone I know and this seemed a step too far. All the Pizza Trophy games tonight are on the new Sky+ service. Be sure to tune in for Port Vale v Wolves U21.
The line ups for anyone interested. Brentford XI: Eyestone; Roerslev, van den Berg, Mee, Ji-soo; Brierley (Owen 67), Trevitt; Yogane, Carvalho, Lewis-Potter; Schade (Hay HT) QPR: Walsh, Ashby (Dembélé 60), Cook (Field 46), Dunne (Shann 80), Colback (Paal 60), Varane, Dixon-Bonner (Morgan 70), Santos, Andersen (Madsen 60), Saito (Bennie 70), Lloyd (Frey 60).
There was an article on the Brentford website, not much about us except Frey had a goal disallowed for offside.
Like the fact we’re getting this kind of quality game in - need to come back from the break on top form
Why on earth would we be risking players getting injured in a friendly ffs, absolutely crazy. We will be playing 3 games a week as it is, give the players some rest and keep them fresh. If we get them in for training , then concentrate on improving our defending from set pieces and getting certain combinations to gel and practice passing at speed to each other, much more productive !
What would be a better way to improve defending, gelling and passing at speed than playing against another good side
Harry was big on gelling ............ although it may have been, KY Gel. please log in to view this image
Ridiculous faux outrage over Carsley, who played for years for Ireland, not singing the national anthem. Anyway come on Ingerland. No surrender.
What outrage? Apart from someone called Jamie O’Hara from Talksport reported by the Mail, I’ve seen none. But I don’t do any social media.
