We need all the help we can get to maintain some company down in the depths. I'm currently watching Spurs v Newcastle (1-0).
From commentator: "Newcastle players need a good kick up the backside from Alan Pardew at half-time, they're playing with no tynasity, no belief, no leadership (Taylor quiet), Spurs look up for the game, Newcastle like a team expecting to lose, they can't win a tackle - you have to put your body on the line to get out of the bottom three, get a couple of bookings to liven up the game". I guess Pardew did give them a good boot in the arse at half-time. I'm amazed, I went to fill up with petrol during the break, and came back with Newcastle 2-1 up! Perhaps I should try that trick when we're in a losing position!
Looks like the bottom 5 as it stands at the moment will be the bottom 5 come May....Palace, Leicester, Sunderland, Burnley, R's For the first time in the Sunday Times they described Leicester as struggling, reality starting to kick in....
Watching MUFC home to the Scum I was struck by the thought that as much as I dislike Chelsea, my dislike for MUFC is just about as strong. Reckon a draw would be my choice of result - and still nil - nil at the half
Like many 'big' teams their fans have an insufferable sense of self-importance bordering on arrogance. I heard one Arsenal arsehole on the radio today saying they should sign Alex Song in the January window as if they can just walk into a supermarket and put him in the trolley...
