Remy just scored in extra time to give them a 1-0 win against Villa. Liverpool 4-3 Swansea. So neither Villa or Swansea have managed to leapfrog us.
The more teams below us the better obviously. Newcastle still look poor, although the last 20 minutes they were going for it and deserved a win.
Probably a good thing and will give them less alarm for Saturday's game. Like the minor Geordies do, they'll assume that they'll beat us 3-0 by just turning up.
Newcastle are safe now. They are never going to break into the top 6 so other than pride, they have nothing else to play for. Good time to catch them I think. Just need Spurs to roll over Naaarch and this weekend has been near enough perfect.
Apparently Pauliniho got a late goal at Hull to get Spurs the points Hoddle you're a clueless **** & by your own rules will be disabled in your next life
That Norwich goalie shirt shouldnt be allowed. Unless its a trackie top. Nice touch with Ken Brown presentation.
Sherwood's come over all 'Arry with all those forwards on the bench. Shame he only picked one to start. Kinell - 0 shots on target from either side in the first half.
And they're now just two points below us as it stands albeit with a vastly inferior goal differance. Looking at Newcastle's last gasp win an the nine point gap to the Saints realistically tenth now seems the best we could hope for, which would of course be a fantastic achievement to build on.
Bit torn really .Prefer a draw but i like Norwich, dont want them to go down. Good club, decent honest manager.
Well done Norwich but any of our relegation rivals who have Spurs will fancy their chances. Bunch of tarts.
Let's be fair.. Norwich deserved that win, it'll worry the current bottom 3 more than us Villa don't score many do they? Stoke at home are solid Swansea - too many quality players to go down WBA - Anichibe could save them Still fancy Palace aren't out of it Norwich - they need points before their last 4 fixtures Sunderland - undecided Cardiff - down Fulham - need a miracle
He's been their best hope in recent games, been involved in every goal they've scored since Pepe came in. West Brom have been really ****e since Long left. Coincidence? I think not.
^^^^^^this^^^^^^^^ I always support the team whose result gives us the best advantage. For example I loathe Arsenal with every fibre of my body and in the normal scheme of things would want them beaten, even in the most meaningless of meaningless preseason warm ups. But I found absolutely no problem yesterday with them stuffing Sunderland. Rejoiced in it, in fact.
