Can't find it posted yet on here - worth a listen http://www.ambernectar.org/blog/2016/07/podcast-twtwt-podcast-114/?
That was a good listen, thanks for posting. I am one of those described in the podcast as someone who was previously willing to give the Allams the benefit of the doubt, but now have lost all respect for them. Not completing the sale of the club has truly poisoned the well. In retrospect, it all went wrong when Assem had to take a step back due to illness. He and the manager enjoyed a close relationship but it's clear that Bruce can't abide Ehab. What a waste - Bruce could have been our manager for the next ten years.
Still licking Assem's arse then? **** off, 'it all went wrong' when Allam Snr spat his dummy out at the council, hence the name change bollocks. It just got worse when Snr was ill. Ehab may well be taking over the position of chief twat at the club, but Assem started all this.
You mean it all went wrong when the council acted like unprofessional ****s. I realise you won't want to blame the actual villains in this saga at the beginning. But a certain, arrogant cockwomble of a Councillor started the spat off with HCC. Baffling how or why people vote for them.
Whereas Steve Bruce appears to be a class act as a man and I wish him all the very best for the future, I feel he is somewhat limited as a manager. I certainly would not have looked forward to another ten years, of his team selections, substitutions and tactics. I am grateful for the highs he provided but still disappointed at the relegation which I still feel could have been avoided despite injuries and the miraculous run of results of our opponents.
Well if that's the case, there were unprofessional ****s on all sides. However, only one side have been open to dialogue since. The council have said their door is open to talk. Allam won't talk. And besides, even if the council were the big nasties here, it's Allam who's treated the fans like ****. We didn't email or call the council on his behalf remember? So take your benefit of the doubt for the Allams and **** off.
I'm not giving anyone the benefit of doubt. HCC, and one specific Councillor acted like an utter contemptible ****. I wouldn't have had owt to do with him after that either. I get it, the simple minded like you need a pantomine villain to boo and hiss at, but that won't change the fact that he was treated very badly at the time, and he won't just ignore that. Same as quite a few on here would be. Cept, that's different of course. Boooo! Hisssssss!
What utter ****e. So, as you say, Allam was treated shabily be the Council. And, being simple minded, I booed and hissed at him as I needed a pantomime villain. The story ends there. But hang on, why did I boo and hiss because the council, you say, treated him like ****? Oh yeah, you missed out everything else between then and when I actually did boo and hiss at him. Name change Die when they want Hooligans Bring your pass back To be fair, you may be right, he might have been treated badly by the council. But all I know is how Allam treated me. He can **** off. And any defence of him can too. End of the day, anyone who owns a football club should be a reasonable person. Even when they feel slighted. Allam is not that. He and junior are twats. They are responsible for their behaviour, not the council.
Hang on a minute, didn't he ask the council to give him the stadium for nothing? Think I would have treated him with contempt if I was a councillor. If I am wrong, please explain exactly what did happen. Happy to be corrected.
I think he thought he had already bought the stadium when he bought Hull City, he then asked the council to give it to him.
Allam is a shrewd businessman and marketeer - read his cv There is no way he'd have made such an amateurish mistake......
So you were happy for Assam to say fans "can die when they want"? Sorry, didn't see this. Yes - what Trau said.
And this councillor was the sole fan who he said "can die when he wants" I assume? It all suddenly becomes excusable, poor Assam - how we misunderstood you.
I also think he was in such a hurry with his land grab ( the land he never got ) he didn't realise he was buying the debt tied up in the SMC. He may not of even known he was buying the SMC. P S . he's a ****ing idiot.
It's like pulling teeth. The councillor is a rugby fan not a football fan. No one is excusing Assems subsequent behaviour, although I still find it amusing fans who sing about being City til they die are precious and sensitive when an old fella tells them they can die when they want. I've said I realise some of our more simple minded fans need a pantomime villain but the fact remains, HCC, or at least some of it, are at least as suitable for booing and hissing at. Instead, they'll just be re-elected. It's baffling. Almost like some of you can't complain about more than one person at a time.
The Councillor offered him City Council money and a public/private partnership to help develop the sports village. Assem Allam said no because he couldn't get the freehold.
