I saw the highlights of our game this morning, i was very impressed with our performance yesterday, by far our best display so far this season, i liked the passing, it was slick and crisp as well, that pass by Carrick to Van Persie was world-class, its a shame RVP was offside, I wanted Van Gaal to be our manager from the moment Moyes got the sack and so far, i've been proved right, You can see we have an identity unlike last season.
If you make enough wild stabs in the dark sooner or later you'll come up trumps. You should try listening to the radio occasionally Matth. Close your eyes, listen the commentary, and you can build an idea of what happens in the game. Ten minutes of MOTD highlights doesn't really give you a true reflection of how a game panned out. Otherwise, Sky have more substantial highlights of the game. In this case though, you're right, we played well. Long may it continue.
Was only Hull. If we do that against a top team then fair enough.. I was going to say Liverpool but they're only a mid table team..
Valid point, but if matth had started this thread you'd all be abusing him right now. Particularly you UIR...
Wrong considering matth would have claimed to have predicted this 8 years ago. And yes its only hull. It was also only leicester, swansea and mk dons too
With that arrogance you will trip yourself up hopefully. Mind you, you'd probably get awarded a penalty.
Pretty sure it was a sarcastic comment aimed at rival fans who always claim we only played a **** team when we put in a good performance. Hence the ironic reference to Liverpool also in the post.
Not arrogant.. Just better. If we have aspirations to get back amongst it and challenge for the title we quite rightly should be beating teams like you comfortably. My point is that I will be impressed with us when we play well against top side. Though this season everyone is pretty ****.
Sure. A top side has to match another top side. What worried me last season was not just that we couldn't compete against another top side and beat them but that other not so top sides come to OT to play their 'best game of the season'. Sure sign that they were confident of getting at least a point. This is what the RS are experiencing this season. All teams go to their ground and expect to get something. Sure sign that the team is on the slide. So hull playing really badly at OT after giving Spurs a tough time is great by me.
I agree, this is what we are going through and what happened to you lot last season. Teams last season were worried about playing us and week after week of poor prformance is changing that you are the reverse at the moment, teams are starting to worry about playing you again.
