After that performance TUESDAY NIGHT that was a fantastic result today.

I believe we will go on and stay up comfortably, more points will follow.

What i would like to see is SL and his board give LJ the funds to build a team to compete at the other end of the championship in the new 27000 Ashton Gate for next season.

That would truly be special ,22000 fans plus packed into Ashton Gate.

It was a very good result today especially after Tuesday night. Let's hope it stays that way for the rest of the season and it looks like we have found some spine which might be a present for the new gaffer.

Have to say Mike,LJ has lost the one game in four, take that over the whole season we would be right up there at the end.
I just looked how far points wise of sixth spot, considering the dire season we have had,it is fine margins between top and bottom.

We seem to be better playing away, there must be good reason for that!

Since Cotterill has left we are forth in the form table, got to be honest even though we was not winning with Cotts I never would of expected this turnaround.

Answer to your question Onefor it's probably pressure, but to be honest the crowd as far as I can remember this season has only booed the players of once or twice this season.

We'll have good days and bad days until the end of this season. I expect more good than bad,
It is amazing what a change in formation has done for our squad, a squad that could not be trusted to adjust from 3-5-2 to 4-3-3 or 4-4-2.

The change to 4-4-2 was most important.

I can't see the teams below out scoring us for the remaining fixtures. This summer will be interesting transfer wise. Will Aston villa want baker back and can we hold on to everyone whilst building around them.

MTG, I too am concerned about Baker. Villa are down no doubt about it, and as is the norm, all their 'stars' will feel they are to good for the Championship and will bail out quickly, which means Villa are in the box seat in terms of negotiations. They know we want him and he has done well for us, so they can rinse us on price, if we don't pay they have a CB ready to walk in to their side off the back of a good season at this level.
I really think we should have tied him to a permananet signing in Jan, assuming of course this was ever an option?

I would be interested to know what Bakers thoughts are, any interviews or questions on his future out there?

Think we've learned how vital Baker is.... Him and Flint are a solid pairing. We need to get a quality RB in the summer. Perhaps see if we can get Kane from Chelsea and then with a couple more squad signings, defensivley we look alright. As for Midfield I'd honestly hand Bournemouth a blank cheque and tell them to write whatever they want for Tomlin! Along with Baker he is a must! We have to be signing those 2 if we're to progress. Won't be cheap, but cheap clubs don't make it to the prem. Especially not anymore. We might lose the likes of Hull, Burnley and Middlesbrough this year but they'll be replaced by possibly Newcastle, Sunderland and Villa! All bigger teams with bigger budgets and better players and all will want immediate returns.

The good thing if those 3 do come down is that they will bring a lot of fans to away games, certainly more than Hull or Burnley. Unless they shaft us with midweek games against the North East sides, we will have 3 sell outs with the new capacity.

12 points clear of the bottom two now. Would have been better had Rotherham not won- They are holding the last relegation space and are 8 points behind- There is still work to be done as if they were to beat us at home, the gap would only be 5- We are comforted by the fact that we are 5 clear of MK now as well-
37 points wont keep us up, but I must admit, it looks a whole lot better than it did just 8 games ago when we were on 21 points.

We need a rm next year, Ayling is a great rb but we have no sufficient cover which is a worry. I believe we need 5 core players and a similar number of squad players in the summer

Ayling is a great RB but the cover for him is weak.
We need a top quality midfielder alongside Korey Smith,we need two quality strikers.
    Fielding is cover for O'Donnal.
Would love to sign Baker,if not we need a quality centre half, and get the cheque book out and sign Tomlin, different gravy to what is here at present.
    This is just for starters.

Think I've read that Baker is on 40k at the moment so I suspect unless he takes a wage cut, he could take too much wage bill for us.
