    Toby (now at training camp with Belgium) hints at the possibility of staying at Southampton during a press conference. He says he is in the best form of his life and wants to complete the season here and have the club approach him about a move from Atletico. The article refers to how Southampton are resplendent in the Premier League.

    Nice Sky coverage of Toby (lovely boy). After eulogising by the interviewer about Saints defence, he replied, 'We do our best.' He thinks it will be very difficult for us to win the league because of other teams' depth compared to us. He may have to play CB if Kompany not fit, otherwise RB.

    Well, let's hope that Toby gets a long spell at CB. I wouldn't want to wish harm to Kompany, just enough of an injury for him to be out of Man City's team when they play us. Ooh, and maybe a relapse, just before the return fixture

    Absolute bargain if we get him!! Tbh with how cheaply we are snapping him up. In theory we should be able to offer a good wage that he would be happy with :)

    Think she's referring to quite how well we're doing - Les selling his soul to the devil to achieve this is the unofficial explanation.

    I disagree. I notice him every time he plays and always under the same circumstances. There's a scrambling attack and we foil it in the area. Someone has the ball and the crowd's baying for that someone to hoof it to end the panic. Then the "someone" very calmly picks out a decent pass to a midfielder in space, the panic's over and we still have the ball (and often a nascent attack).

    Then, I look back and the "someone" is always Toby.

    The guy is so calm on the ball that he's unnatural. I love him with every molecule of my being.
