    ........................ kept the hope fires burning after the Bolton game I salute your courage, your strength and your indefatigability.

    I was sure we were gone but there were a few of you who said we'd still stay up (NUTS, Oddball, Nines etc.). Can't remember who all of you were but fair play to yis guys, you were right. <applause>

    With our run in it was a miracle. Well done to all that kept the faith. I am a natural pessamist so was sure we had blown it. But I am aboslutely delighted the way it panned out. You R'ssssss!
