I hate this British thing about people being made Sirs for any God damn reason, but furthermore always get embarrassed by people's confusions with how to use the title appropriately. On Talk Sport the other night, "shouting" Stan Collymore was talking to Trevor Brooking (Sir), who continually referred to conversations he had with Alex (Sir Alex F). Collymore, (who was booed off at Villa, the only time I ever saw him in action), continued to call Trevor, Sir Trevor every time he shouted at him during the interview. In my opinion, anybody privileged to be knighted, should jump off their high horse with immediate effect. If Fergie had any spunk about him, he would say my name is Alex, or Mr Ferguson, depending on who was addressing him. Had my say, now going to bed with Minxy..God bless her...never says no!
"Shouting" Collymore - nice one. I think he has Tourette's, just without the swearing, on air anyway. On Talksport he was boasting about a dressing room fight with Trevor Benjamin. Good of him to pick on a bloke for a change.
