I don't think it's an awful shirt. It's boring but wouldn't say it was awful like...........well apart from it being red and white and having a mackem badge on it

Agreed, only bad thing (barring the red and white stripes, comedy sponsor and mackem badge) is the diagonal stripes on the back, which don't look that bad, just a bit 90's.

At least with Umbro you can guarantee it won't look worse than my surviving 90's toon shirts after 3 months of ownership like the Puma showers we'll end up with.

I think that's a class shirt, considering the awful sponsor and **** colour. I love Umbro, they're streets ahead of anyone else at the moment. Even Adidas have nosedived and the Puma shirts are generally cheap, imagine that shirt but in black n white with the toon badge and a Northern Rock logo without the black box. It'd look ****ing MEGA!

I hope we get Umbro next OR Puma start making bespoke retro designs for us because the old style Puma gear is class.

Personally, I hope we end up with Kukri. They do the Lancashire Lightning Kit, and it's mint!!!

I didn't click the link I'd already seen it elsewhere, assumed that was the issue with it because the front is a pretty classic kit.

I still like it, and its got stripes on the back, is that too much to ask Puma?

This isn't the best picture of it, but imagine this in Black and White stripes.

There's also a newer one than this, but there aren't any good pictures of it yet.

I don't think it's that bad to be honest, just a little bland.

doesn't look as bad in the second picture, but in the first it just looks real cheap and tacky, like it was drawn by a 6 year old with a crayon. the neck line is the worst bit, it's pretty massive and the big 'trim', i suppose, around it just looks odd.

    I can't stand big v-necks, frankly.

The umbro badge looks sticked on, and why don't the lines run symmetrical around the back instead of going over at an angle above the lettering?

To be fair, i much prefer Sunderland's kit this season!
