To all of those spreaders of gloom Don´t bury us yet in our tomb, We are some here Who´ll find things to cheer Despite your predictions of doom But such is the nature of man Especially when a football fan, Some will believe While others just heave Their shoulders if things fail to plan But I know if managers felt Like giving up when blows were dealt, Just how we would feel When down on our heel ´Twould be like a punch ´neath the belt So they need us as we need them For some that might be hard, but when, The Cup dust has cleared And Spurs have appeared I know we´ll all back them again. OTBC I don´t expect you to enjoy it yet, but have a week all, Yours
Hi RBF, you're right, it's only to be expected that we'd be upset to lose to a non-league team! It's also to be expected that some would go over the top and implode in the heat of the after-match maulings, but the older, wiser ones among us realise that from time to time these things happen! The other thing I've noticed, when we had our ten match unbeaten run, those now calling for a team and management cull were the very individuals expecting us to be knocking on the door of European football! Fickle doesn't even come close! We move on!
Hi RBF bor, been there before many times, seen it before and worn the hair shirt ! Goes with being a Canary fan. Surprised at the result, not really. It has been on the cards for some time now but we still have plenty of time to replicate our previous form. At least the manager now knows the enormity of the task. We are proving to be a fine weather team, looking forward to the harder grounds. Regards to Rex.
I hope the first teamers have got vengeance in their minds for wednesday and that the second stringers realise they are all on very shaky ground. If they get a chance they need to take it or it's curtains. I agree with your sentiments RBF, like I said yesterday get mad but don't get hysterical.
Incidentally, just a second ago............. Brentford ( League 1) 1 Chelsea (European Champions) 0 Now Brentford 2 Chelsea 1 with 10 mins to go
Well done RBF - there's still six teams behind us who'd willingly change places with us. Leeds 2 Spurs 1 as well at FT. It's a 'funny old game'!
You don't try to sing there do you. I tried once but got drowned out by the sound of werthers original wrappers.
I tried yesterday had been evicted from my seat in the Jarrold, what a joke, problem with cup matches hardly anybody in their normal seats no one shouts or sings no atmosphere
