Looking at the fixtures this fixture in Feb is the one where we may have to show our title credentials. It is the toughest place in england to get a result at a very noisy ground. We've been poor there for a while and need to go up a notch against them. United we usually outplay so our matches against them are less of a barometer
Not an easy season with this fixture list. In March we have FOUR London derbies. Methinks someone at the FA is worried that we might make United look a bit silly otherwise.
Can't disagree more. IMO it's the best fixture list we've had in years (possibly only 07/08 being better) City & United home and away done by 1st Feb and after that only Arsenal and Spurs (both at home) and they play each other the week before anyway. The big problem we had last season (and why IMO we didn't get out the group) was having tough CL games in between tough PL fixtures. Man Utd (A), Arsenal (A), Liverpool (H), Man Utd (H), City (A) all played when we don't have CL games, so only once a week. When we are fresh and fully fit, with time to prepare for games, IMO we are the best team in the league. Arsenal (H) is our hardest game post-February.
Would have liked a few matches to get team up to speed before Utd away.Still if we're good enough we can win. Getting tired of all the rumours about players coming and going, wish we could get some official news.
Fully agreed. I think some people are letting the old victimisation complex, that all Chelsea fans suffer to some degree, get the better of more considered reasoning.
Completely with you mate 5 home games out of 6 at home after CL ties. No City or United whilst CL knock outs are being played (potentially just Arsenal who could also still be in it) 4 London games in a row over the Christmas Period followed by a short trip to Southampton, meaning almost no travel for over a month in between a busy period. What more could people ask for? Look at Norwich's last 4 games and I dare anyone to complain about their run in.
Well that's a positive spin on it! When you out it like that, four local matches, it makes it soon a bit better. Large support, known areas, short travel distances. So which match should I come back for? I have been out of the uk or 4 years now and want to come back to welcome Jose home. Ironic I know, but all the same it has to be done. They just don't get football te same wy we do over here in Dubai. Maybe I could come back every weekend in march?! What Ames do you reckon would be worth the trip, bar the obvious big clashes with our local and league rivals?
You aren't really spoilt for choice in March because our only home games are against Arsenal and Spurs are tickets for those will be like Gold Dust http://www.chelseafc.com/fixtures-results See what appeals to you
