Rangers forward Jelavic has said the 12 point lead is too big a gap for Celtic to claw back and that the title is already Ibrox bound.

    Agree/disagree?

Disagree, though Celtic have yet to show any sign that they could put together a consistent run of form.

BUT, Thelick win their game in hand, then the next OF game, then Jela or Davis gets injured.....

On the other hand, the next OF gets drawn, the Lennon goes in the January window and buys another 12 midfielders and 4 forwards.......

If Rangers keep their current squad together and avoid any more long-term injuries, it should be in the bag. Celtic's defence is still looking dodgy and they'll drop more points.

However, if the tax case causes us to go into administration, or we're forced to sell key players then it's far from over.

Is the hearing on the tax case all behind closed doors? When is there likely to be any decision?

No chance, Rangers have had a great start but they too will have a period when the struggle with injuries and players off form, they may well be able to ride it out and keep picking up the points then. Hats off to them that's how you win titles but its far from over.

silly thing for jelavic to say. no doubt the press did their bit to make the statement even bolder than it was.

or as the sun put it "Jelavic, standing ontop of bobby sands grave yesterday with an israeli flag, shouts **** the pope and the IRA we've goat this title in the ****in bag ya bass!!!" or something like that

It's far from in the bag. Rangers are big favourites obviously but we're barely a third of the way through the season. There's far, far too many unknowns to be declaring it's all over now.

Normally it's Celtic players that manage to say daft stuff that acts only to spur on their opponents. Now, it's Jelavic's turn.

    Hmmm...

Paper makes a bigger deal, by asking loaded questions, about what a player actually said!

When have we seen that before? (Ledley?)

There's a degree of that, of course, but it was an actual quote from the man himself.

He said "Rangers should win the league with the gap being 12 points" or words to that effect. "Should" being the word that 99% of us would agree with on here.

    Rangers "should" win the league.

"Of course, we need to keep it going and stay in first place. But I think the 12-point lead we have on Celtic should be enough to do that."

Anyone (with a brain) reading that would surmise that Jelavic has all but said the title is heading to Ibrox.

Anyone with half a brain would, at the present moment in time, totally agree with him.

That given Celtics inconsistency, and Rangers consistency, that the title SHOULD be heading back to Ibrox.

You really are a permenantly offended east coast mutant ****. <ok>
