I don't really get it. We have IMO the best squad in the league. Literally the best squad in the entire league yet we are a midtable team at present and sliding down the table at an alarming rate - relegation form. My reservations when we appointed Adams were not that I thought he would fail spectacularly and get us relegated it was simply was Adams really the best man for the job out of all the managers out there? On basis of current form, not a chance I would say.

We cannot simply sack Adams now though however frustrating the results are. The tricky thing is, Middlesborough and Wolves aside we have played pretty well for most of the season. Yet we find ourselves in the position were Ipswich, a team who operate on a fraction of a budget (and to any Binners reading this, I actually mean this in a complimentary way) and who on paper wouldn't get more than a couple of their players into our first XI if any are 4 points ahead of us and winning every game they play simply because they have a far, far better manager than us.

I've always maintained that with the squad we have anything less than promotion will be complete failure. Yet right now this looks a long shot and if we don't get promoted I really fear we will be picked bare next season of our best players and be condemned to an eternity of Championship mediocrity.

Adams promised us football to bring a smile to our faces. Right now I see football to bring a grimmace to my face. Today Forest didn't deserve even a point although they improved a great deal in the second half. But they caught us repeatedly on the break and once again this proved our undoing. What does Adams expect if he is playing two CBs with no pace and afforded no protection? Michael Turner is an excellent defender and more or less our player of the season on current form but he, even more so Cuellar are both slow so if keep leaving them so exposed there is nothing we can do yet Adams persists to play like this. At best naive, at worst utterly clueless.

I'm not calling for Adams to be sacked, I'm still behind him as my signature says. But in no uncertain teams we need a massive improvement immediately. If we can't beat the Birminghams of this league that puts us under to pressure to beat the Forests (who were on a six game loss streak until now) and the Middlesboroughs. I pray we this sorted.

At the start of the season and after we beat them we were all saying that none of the Scum's players would make our team.

But now? I would take McGoldrick over Grabban. I would take Berra and I would take Mings.

McCarthy has managed to get Daryl Murphy to score a shedload. Yet we have Gary Hooper who hasn't notched once.

You may well have the best players in the league BUT you haven't got the best team and that's what really matters! Our team has been put together for 10k but every last one of them gives their absolute all and works their bloody socks off. There are no fancy dans in our team and this is why Mick is so good at what he does.

You're right there. Plus your manager has the experience.

This is the exact ethos that got us promoted in 2011. I don't think any individual player is necessarily to blame but they're obviously not linking as a team and we do have a lot of players who have already played in the Premier League for years - the opposite to Derby, Bournemouth and others.

I think our team works their socks off too just that a) they are poor at taking chances b) they manage to make a mistake or two every match are always are punished and c) are often not played to their strengths.

You just have to question the individual hunger and desire of everyone of those players! Skill and ability only gets you so far, it's the ugly side of the game, what you do out of possession, organisation, pressing and closing that wins you games.

Can I just say - I find the players more frustrating than Adams. Obviously they don't make mistakes on purpose but they need to stand up and be counted. There's no way a team that has that many experienced players, a lot of experience in the championship particularly, should give away 2 goals to lose with 4 minutes to go. Frustrating wasting of chances, maybe adams fault for not getting it out of them but they need to take more responsibility on on the pitch.

we play like a bunch of individuals because the manager hasn't got the nous or ability to mould them into a team. warky is absolutely correct in what he says about that. we will win games at this level (as we already have) because sometimes our individuals come up with the goods but it won't be enough to trouble the top six. they are not organised, he changes system too often, he picks players out of position and we constantly start games sluggishly, handing out opponents the initiative. our early season comebacks weren't down to him imo, they were down to individuals producing a bit of magic. he needs to go.

Individual magic and luck early on. We only started the season as strongly as we did thanks to several lucky deflections. I'll give Adams the Cardiff game though.

I still think the board went for the cheap option and it is going to end up being the most expensive mistake the club have ever made- hope he recognises he is out of his depth and resigns

Yes, but will the board make the same mistake as before by waiting too long.

We're now seven points above Fulham but only six from top. I think that shows that we've been average over the season so far, amd average won't get us promoted.

I think you are spot on with what you say Supers, though I can see the board dithering yet again.

Unless things change dramatically and soon, this will be my last season of having a season ticket. I didn't enjoy last season and this season if anything is worse. Yes, we may be attacking more, but the end result in most instances is woeful. I'm really pleased I left it too late to get a ticket for today's game, as I would have felt so miserable on the journey home and yet it was one of our games I was really looking forward to.
