Serious point: The Standard's been saying that Chelsea have been sniffing around with a view to making a £15M bid for him. I'd say that's too low in the current market, but we all know they have money to burn, so it'll rise if they're genuinely interested. Would really knacker their midfield though, which is the one area where they're strong. I wouldn't mind seeing the back of him before 20 August.

Not-so-serious point: How big is his forehead? He looks like the Mekon out of Dan Dare if you ask me, although he's obviously not quite as green. His eyes are still where his nose should be though. Ugly bastard...

Tefal napper. Would be an ideal replacement for Essien.

His forehead is beyond immense, true.

    Awesome, awesome player though.

He'll look great in a chelsea shirt though. and as he'll be a chelsea player he'll get the obligatory cock and balls to hide his forehead.

If he sorted his disciplinary record he'd be a quality player (Worst discipline in the league last season and had to be dropped from the end of season games due to his yelow card count) Although if he played for Chelsea he wouldn't get booked as much as the shirt comes with an immunity to standard booking offences

he had a awful record with the refs last year and he was a unkown, now he has a "rep" refs will book him at his first nasty glance as they do with cattermole. so i can see him breaking his worst disipline record before xmas (unless he signs for chelsea, then all his tackles are fair some how)

Would you send a chelsea player off knowing that next week when your refereeing he'll have the weekend off and ya missus is at home, too risky.

He was very lucky not to be sent off against us for a terrible challenge on Malbranque in the first few minutes (Over the top of the ball and all studs showing) - one of the worst challenges this season but it was at Newcastle so I expected nothing else - he nobbled malbranque and nullified any threat he might have

Like I say - cracking player and needs to either sort his discipline out or move to a bigger club (One of the Sky 5 as they are now) otherwise he will get booked and sent off more than Cattermole
