Hope he's telling Gervinho how great this place is! I'm very confident of seeing him sign for us in the summer, I'd be over the moon.

Some very positive signs coming from Tiote and if he did indeed snub a move to Chelsea then he's went even higher in my estimation. Got a very positive feel for nest season.

'Going back would have been like saying, "I lose". I don’t do losing. - another Chiek fact to add to the list..

I was wondering bout this the other day, seeing as how lots was made of his hero being Essien, Drogba being at Chelski etc...there seems to be lots of stuff going on behind the scenes at Chelsea lately. Perhaps his countryman Drogba gave him some timely advice that convinced him he'd made the right decision to stay with us - 'Stay well away Chiek, it's all going tits up down here, I'm off asap, stay where you are, son'

We're all so used to accepting that footballers are mercenary, and despite all the crap they spout about being at a great club etc, will generally drop said club like a hot brick for a few more sheckels. So it really gives me a buzz to read what Chieks said. Without wanting to stereotype anyone, I think Chieks attitude is more common amongst African born players - they know whats it's like to struggle and (generally)come from a poor background - they have to work a lot harder to amke it in top flight football, as opposed to kids who make it here, who by comparrison get it all laid on a plate.

And whats even better, now I know for definite who's name I'll be getting on the back on my shirt for next year, without the worry of having to bin it 1/2 way thru the season.

I was thinking the same thing when I seen that quote. It seems Tiote himself has been reading the Tiote facts!
