There's quite a few tabloids carrying this story. The figure being quoted is £4m. I'd snap their hand off to be fair. He's injury prone and apart from the last couple of games he didn't give a monkeys. Also.. he's been wanting away for quite a while now so clearly isn't happy.
Probably fit in well at Stoke - the dirty fouling **** would be perfect for Hughes's tactics. Good riddance, if Stoke and Palace really want to sign a blundering ox with zero mobility who gets sent off every other game, they're welcome to him.
£4m really? Isn't that more than we paid for him? DEAL! For while he looked immense but he's been erratic and injury prone for a long time now. He'd probably be awesome again in the Championship but only if his heart were in it and his legs can still last 90 minutes My instinct would be to sell him.
All would depend on Rafa. If Rafa stays and wanted him to stay, he had a desire to stay, then I'd retain. Top and bottom is that he is still our best holding midfielder which is central to how Rafa plays. Rafa seemed to get a lot more out of him, probably by simplifying the task for him. i.e. destroy and pass. 4m is good money for him though, of that there is no doubt.
Agree with this. He's effective if he just keeps it simple. As long as he doesn't try to play football then I think he is a great enforcer.
For £4m I'd keep him - though wages are presumably pretty high. It's all about what the alternative is, alongside Shelvey in the middle he could do a job - I think people need to realise that it's Tiote or Colback or someone worse...
Boro yesterday, Stoke and Palace today, who knows tomorrow. Another who has let the Club anf Fans down for at least two years. Good riddance.
