This is from the Chronicle and the claim is quite staggering.
The Tiote issue is a baffling one mind.

    NEWSCHEICK TIOTE
Newcastle United have 'poison' like Cheick Tiote in dressing room, Sunday Supplement pundit claims

John Richardson has been scathing in his criticism of Newcastle United - singling out Cheick Tiote as a 'bad egg'
Newcastle United dressing room, claims John Richardson - with the Express writer alleging that Cheick Tiote is one of a number of ‘bad eggs’ at the club.

Pundits on Sky Sports’ Sunday Supplement were falling over themselves to stick the boot into the hapless Magpies, who are second bottom of the Premier League with just two points from their opening six matches.

Steve McClaren is yet to claim a league victory as Newcastle boss and he saw his side completely outplayed as they succumbed to a 2-1 home defeat to newly-promoted Watford on Saturday.

As well as describing some of United’s defending as “pathetic” against the Hornets, Richardson also singled out Tiote as one of the “bad eggs” who he believes are ruining the club from within.Richardson said: “The (Newcastle) dressing room - basically I know there’s a few bad eggs in there.

“Steve McClaren knows who they are, he wants to get them out, but it’s harder to do that because they’re on bloated wages. Basically there’s a lot of poison there.

“Yes I do (know who the bad eggs are).

“Yes I can say who one of them is: one of them is Cheick Tiote.

“Tiote, who has supposedly been unfit all season. Newcastle keep sending him for checks and scans - nothing ever comes up.

“He’s obviously not bothered, he doesn’t want to play.

“There’s other players there of the same ilk and until something happens the club is not going to move on.”

The Telegraph’s Matt Law and The Mail on Sunday’s Rob Draper were equally scathing in their criticism of Newcastle - with every aspect of the club just about torn to shreds.

John Richardson entire transcript from Sunday Supplement:

“It’s depressing - depressing for the area. I feel sorry for the fans – 50,000 turn up at Newcastle, 45,000 turn up at Sunderland. They deserve better.

“(Newcastle) brought in Steve McClaren, who we all know is a top-class coach. So everything was in order.

“But I’m afraid that, although some of the buys have been okay - (Georginio) Wijnaldum, top player, a lot of clubs were looking at him - there’s something missing in the dressing room.

“There’s a lot of players there who aren’t up for the cause.

“I’m afraid, I know it sounds a bit of a cliché, but most of them are foreign players who don’t really care.

“They’re just passing by. They’re just basically mercenaries.

“It’s not their fault, they’ve been asked to go to Newcastle.

“They’ve gone in there, the dressing room basically I know there’s a few bad eggs in there.

“Steve McClaren knows who they are, he wants to get them out, but it’s harder to do that because they’re on bloated wages. Basically there’s a lot of poison there.

“Yes I do (know who the bad eggs are). Yes I can say who one of them is: one of them is Cheick Tiote.

“Tiote, who has supposedly been unfit all season. Newcastle keep sending him for checks and scans – nothing ever comes up.

“He’s obviously not bothered, he doesn’t want to play.

“There’s other players there of the same ilk and until something happens the club is not going to move on.

“We were talking about Mark Noble earlier and he’s exactly the sort of player they need - they need a British heart.

“They need players who care about the club. They’ve got (Jack) Colback, but they haven’t got too many of them.

“They’ve got too many players who go missing on the big occasion.

“I mean some of the defending against Watford was absolutely pathetic.

“Newcastle fans are fed up of this. They want action. But nobody can point the finger at Mike Ashley this time.

“You’ve got to say it’s the football people in charge there. It’s bad recruitment – that’s got to improve.

“Steve McClaren I think has got to have a bigger say in who comes in because, after all, he’s coaching them.”

Tiote has been hiding for nearly a year now. Hasn't got the guts for a fight. A lot of truth in that article, too many couldn't give a toss about Newcastle. Tragic.

Been a lot of discussion between Richardson and Matt Law in regards to your new signings claiming they're taking the piss basically

    The full conversation
Matt Law: “Who’s the player who keeps turning up in tuxedos to games?”

John Richardson: “That’s Mbemba.” (Also Florian Thauvin).

Law: “Is it? I saw pictures of that - I think that’s an absolute disgrace.”

    Richardson: “Of course it is.”

Law: “I think when the club haven’t won a game and they’ve gone through what they’ve gone through, and the fans are turning up paying their money and you’ve got clowns turning up in tuxedos before games to have their picture taken, I think it’s an absolute disgrace. They may as well all turn up in a circus outfit next week because it’s just stupid, absolutely stupid. That club to me, like Sunderland, like Aston Villa, is just rotten and they need big changes and they all deserve to go down.”

Neil Ashton: “Just on that point Matt, you’d have thought there’d have been a dress code.” (Players are asked to arrive at St James’ Park in suits.)

Law: “Yeah and you know people argue: ‘Oh but he’s smart.’ Club suits, club tracksuits or whatever - I’m not massively smart myself, I’m not prissy about people having to dress in a certain way. But people going in dressed in a tuxedo to go in and have a picture taken with a big smile on your face is just an utter disgrace and it’s just taking the mickey out of all the fans up there.”

Richardson: “You can do it if you’ve won the league, but you can’t do it when you’re bottom.”

Law: “I’m not even sure you can do it then.”

Rob Draper: “You wouldn’t be so bothered if they were playing well but the way they are playing at the moment I agree it’s totally inappropriate.”

Law: “You may as well go on with a curly wig and a red nose. It’s stupid.”

    Richardson: “That’s Coloccini!”

Surely if this really the case McLaren would have told Tiote to stay home if he is causing problems and is not going to play anyway. Sounds bollocks to me.

Seriously though, what does it matter what Mbemba and Thauvin wear before the game? They could turn up to the game completely starkers and I wouldn't give a ****. All that matters is what happens on the pitch. This isn't a ****ing fashion show, it's football. Get on the pitch and show some fight FFS.

Your club does remind me of mine. QPR last season.
Get rid of the poison before its too late, otherwise you will end up the same way.

Exactly - this is just two journalists who want to have a go at us (quite rightly in terms of the way we are playing) and then are digging up any crap to show what a team of twxts we are. They could just look at the way we are playing but that's not as interesting a story.
If they are going to turn up completely starkers I hope Thauvin will bring his Mrs and ensure she dresses accordingly.
