Newcastle midfielder Cheick Tiote admits scoring the equaliser against Arsenal on Saturday was the greatest moment of his career.
The 24-year-old Ivory Coast international netted his first goal for the club during their miraculous 4-4 draw with the Gunners, with the Magpies going in four goals down at half-time.
It was one of the most enthralling games in Premier League history with Tiote's 25-yard volley raising the roof off St James' Park in the closing stages.
Tiote, who moved to Tyneside from FC Twente last summer, says it was an incredible moment and reveals manager Alan Pardew gave his side a stern talking to at the interval.
"It is the greatest goal I have ever scored in my life," he said. "Unbelievable. Incredible. It felt so good for Newcastle, for my team-mates and the fans. It was the greatest moment of my career.
"To come in at half-time losing 4-0 against a team as good as Arsenal - it's almost impossible to come back from that. But when we scored we could see doubts creep in. At half-time it was a very angry dressing room.
"The manager was furious. He said we must give something back to the fans.
"The goal? Wow! I don't know why I hit it. It was my wrong foot and I had not tried anything like that before.
"This would not happen in any other league. That is what is great about English football."
