growing speculation that he is returning to coach the youngsters whats everyone think? seems like mixed emotions on the official forum, but alot of posters on there are knobs
I would like to see him back, if he can teach just one player his passing ability then we would be happy. Can you imagin if he learnt how to use his right foot how much he would of been worth.
If only we had a Tinman now, class act, let's get him in now as far as I'm concerned our yoof can only benefit...
The name of the thread is an insult to a City great as a player. So he didn't quite make it as manager but many other more experienced than him have failed even more miserably than Tinman.
Yeah get him involved in some way. Just happy he wasn't anything to do with the main team set up. Was a disaster last time.
It wasn't meant as an insult its more of a compliment It could have been worse at least he admitted he wasn't up to the job and he walked unlike other managers who ran out of ideas and had to be paid off to leave
Mmmmm...not too sure tbh. I thought we were getting away from the old "jobs for the boys" thing at first team level? Having said that, he is I believe coaching youngsters in Portugal or Spain at the moment? so he has the experience with kids so who knows?
Yes yes yes. Tins was a ****e manager, but that was another of Lansdowns stupid mistakes when Tinnion simply wasn't ready. Had he been made Assistant Manager it might have been a lot better all round. However, as a player he never gave City less than 100% in every game, and that's what he can hopefully teach kids.
I think in a way that's why Carey was offered a new contract to get him ready for a coaching role wouldn't be surprised at all if he didn't start doing his coaching badges this next year.
It's a song sung by? The Atyeo. Most consider it an insult, which is why it is not heard amongst much of City's support.
Tinman is still a legend as a player - did not work out for him as a manager, but he's still a legend in my book
A truly fabulous player...that left foot was pure magic. Get him back now...can teach the youngsters so much!
yep agree he was a city legend, think he was cohersed into the managers role as a cheap option, we should all forget that and remember his loyal days as a player, oh to have someone as creative now!!
We have someone as creative, lest we forget Killa!!!!!!!!!! or should that be best we forget Killa!!!!!!! mmmm have to think about that.
I have been lucky enough to meet him on numerous occasions, he ran a training course at the Imperial for kids about 8 or 9 years ago, my kid loved going to that, he has a brilliant manner with the kids and since he's been out in Spain I bet he has expanded his knowledge massively. He seems to have spotted the need for a sea change in the way academies worked early and he may well have a few Spanish names he could possibly recommend for a trial or two.. I hope he does come back, great player for us and we could now use his experience.
If he did come back,we could use him as a passing coach- Some of the team last year couldnt pass the ball accurately any more that about 5 feet-Would keep him in employment for years. Agree with the points about his management- He was clearly not ready, but did have the decency to walk rather than be pushed.
