Get what could be our biggest win of the season and up pops the international break.

For once and I detest these breaks in the fixtures this time it just might benefit us with the new lads and Roberts needing that time to recover.
There's always a downside if any of the lads come back injured.

OR we are going into the break on the back of some good form but with an opportunity to get our new lads settled and some of the injured lads back.
Team/Bench selection v QPR is going to be interesting.........

I don't mind it timing wise, I'd rather go into a break with a team full of confidence after a great win than one with a point to prove. Tony will keep them focused.

Depends how you look at it, really. On the other hand, the lads have 2 full weeks to savour what's is arguably the most impressive win of any team in the top 4 divisions in England so far this season.

Also gives us time to bed in the new lads and get Roberts / Ballard back to full fitness, etc.

Don't think there's ever bad timing for a 5-0 win, and as others have said its actually good timing from a new signings embedded perspective.

Still think Rusyn is / will be our main striker so would be good to get him a week of training, assuming he's fit and allowed to enter the country

Aye. One to keep an eye. Not convinced he's fully fit from his "pelvic bone injury" so imagine he'll be on the bench. Burstow maybe more likely to start, but then who do your drop?
Would be mad to have 4 strikers at the club and play Jobe up front v QPR

I'd maybe take the opportunity to rest Jobe and play Burstow or Rusyn
Keep Roberts on the bench and give him 30 mins - we don't need to rush him back from the start such are our options

I would give Jobe a rest, although he had a decent game against Southampton I felt he was quieter than in other games. It may be beneficial if he's took out of the firing line for a game or 2 because of his age.

I think this is most likely. Especially considering Jobe is away on international duty so won’t be with the team to prep

Wouldn't surprise me if we kept an unchanged team. The bench will be interesting though

This. We’ll have some good players not even making the match day squad.

Gives Rusyn chance for visa and injuries time to heal for likes of Ballard etc, so not bad imho.

How many of our lads are called up ? we usually are bad before the break.

My meaning was the international break would diminish the euphoria of the Soton win.

Ballard missed tonight's game from his knock last Sat which probs would have meant hed have missed our game on Sat if we we playing.
It also allows Roberts extra recovery time, and another week closer to Alese, Evans and Matete being fit so its great timing as far as im concerned.

Weve also been able to use this week to sort Rusyns visa issues out
