TF faces a real dilemma with the managerial situation. The drastic loss of form in the past two months that has put us into a tailspin down the table couldn't have come at a worse time. Had it been earlier a decision could have been made with a run-up to the window for the new boss to get his preferred signings in. To axe Warnock now, with signings identified, would possibly leave potential managers feeling it wouldn't be worth the risk.

I've no doubt if, what we have heard from Cerny is true, a new boss will already have been agreed behind the scenes as it would be suicidal to axe him with no-one coming in, but when would the action be taken? The Newcastle game is not entirely without hope, their two best players are gone for this one and new signings are promised. It would have to be today or tomorrow otherwise match preparation will be undermined as well as bringing in new faces.

It seems everything from the Faurlin saga in the last weeks of last season, the Goon show wrecking the close season, the last-minute scramble for signings in August and now this is like some kind of hex has been placed on the club to frustrate us doing anything in an orderly fashion. Norwich and Swansea have done their business swiftly, quietly and effectively which is reflected in the relatively successful season they are both enjoying. Nothing ever seems to run smoothly for us, we've run out of feet to shoot ourselves in...
