Just realised how time flies, Jody
Morris being linked to Barnsley, 33! That makes me like 6 in beer years! Can't remember the rest! 5 minutes to right this? REALLY!

I thought this when I noticed Rooney will turn 27 in October - I was thinking he was about 24.

It doesn't seem long ago at all that I heard a certain commentator say "Introducing 16-year-old Wayne Rooney!" When he scored for Everton vs Arsenal.

I think Rooney must have two birthdays a year like the Queen.

Michael Owen was the first player to play for England younger than me (and Gavin Gordon the first younger than me to play for City) - fair to say that any footballer makes me feel like an old bastard.

    Ooooh Gav Gordon!

He's just signed for Brizzle. Not a bad signing, always thought he would go on to big things at Chelsea but guess he wasn't up to it.

I was suprised to hear the other day that Gerrard is 32, can remember him as he was starting out with England scoring a screamer in Munich to make it 2-1 just before half time in that famous 5-1 win. Depressing to think that by the time the world cup comes round in 2014 I may be older than half of the first team!

The passing of time is terrifying.

I think I have learned not to procrastinate as I've got older. Things need to get done.

Still not in my 30s, but not far off. It's time to sort a few things out and enter a new phase of life!
