I think its really time for us to kick on now and basically drop teams like newcastle and liverpool in the coming weeks and go above chelsea in the table. Chelsea play man city at home a week today and i really can't see them winning even though they are at home. We then have city away on the 18th and i know a lot of people will disagree with me but i wouldn't be surprised if we go there and win. Last season we completely destroyed city in both matches. I know people will point to the fact that we have lost fabregas and nasri and that city have strengthened but i just have a feeling that we can get something from the game. Especially as i can't see city being as defensive as they were last season and they are the home side so they have to take the initiative and attack and we are very good on the counter attack. The next few weeks will also be huge for city as they have the champs league game on wednesday then chelsea away the following monday then us at home the following sunday, and we will see where they stand after those encounters. But back to us, frankly newcastle have had a good run but i expect them to slip down the table now. And frankly i really don't see liverpool challenging us for s top 4 place when it gets to march april period, any team can lift their performances when they play against the top 4 or 5 teams but even to be able to clinch top 4 you need to beat so called smaller teams, especially when all of your rivals have won in the same weekend. And who knows how long it will take chelsea to get back to their top form, so arsenal do really need to stay consistent and make sure that we just keep winning.
You're having a laugh, right? Anybody can see that the City of this season and the City of last season are gulfs apart. Right now, everybody goes into a game against Man City as the underdog. We should be hopeful we get a point, and be glad with that ... because I doubt any of the other top teams this season are going to be coming away from them with anything.
Yeh that is why i said that i know that a lot of people will disagree with me, but for once we will be playing in an open match and we will have a lot of chance sot attack and granted we keep possession and keep it tight at the back i wouldn't be surprised if we go there and get 3 points, especially after what happened tonight, then city have to go to chelsea next monday who seem to be getting back on form, then we play them, i'm not ruling out a victory anyway.
