With bids for of ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã50m for players like Torres and ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã35m for Andy Carroll on the last day of the transfer window is it time the transfer window was scrapped? All that happens is teams pay out silly money on the last day of the window to purchase players they want (Torres went from ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã40m to ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã50m in 2 days!!). I think it should be scrapped as the big clubs are still paying out ridiculous prices for players that other clubs cannot compete with. Each position should be given a maximum value (depending on which league the player plays in and if they have any international caps). Every club should have a maximum limit they are allowed to spend on players (at anytime) over the season. If they wish to go over this limit, they should be required to sell players to make up the difference.
