And VVD didn’t play. He’s not wrong. First time we’ve beaten City at home this season too. <ok>

First time we've won 4-3 this season isn't it?

Getting a clean sheet in Portugal is something to write home about.

I thought VVD had a mixed bag in Porto. He made every header, he made a few key tackles too but he also missed a few and was weak on a couple that allowed shots. I am noticing he is not all that off that left foot as he's skyed quite a few out for corners now unnecessarally.

He's exactly what we wanted though. Tall, commanding, wins everything in air... good on the ball, quick. If thi sis him "half fit" then he's going to be ****ing mental next year!

I think he will make a big difference to us.

Agreed - he’s not been perfect but still head and shoulders above everyone else. Makes it look very easy and I’m sure he will get better when he’s fully up to speed and has a better partner.

Yeah... needs to get fitter. Its the main thing klopp does aside for confidence to play.

He takes a player out of southampton etc. Spends 6 months getting them properly fit using his bayern munich fitness expert then unleashes hell on the prem.

firmino every year looks pudgy coming back to preseason but he's transformed since kornmayer came in

Mane and slaah are animals for work

for me i was disappointed in the spurs game cos normally we bloe them off the park but this time henderson faded and was taken off due to only being back from injury milner faded too. Windy and ox failed to deliver when they came on.

A talent like VVD when fit allied to a never stops running midfield including keita..... and our front line... we only need a keeper and we will be actually a top 4 side.

Most pundits expected Liverpool to fall apart after the departure of Coutinho, they are disappointed.

I will not say that our defence has been fixed, still work to be done. We're getting better.

VVD is a boss. What a great signing. Just need someone to partner him and we could really push on.

They appear to have gone quiet on Karius, too.

Sky really didn’t want to say much about Karius’s save yesterday but it was world class.
