With that prick Blatter crawling back to his trough with FIFA , is not time for us to take a stand and withdraw from FIFA?

I think the FA should set up a WFA (World Football Association) and invite those other 16 who voted with them and 17 who abstained to join us. Apparently germany were one of those that suuported us and Brazil abstained.

If they could get an alternative world cup with England , Germany , Brazil , Scotland and who else then it would see FIFA irrevocably damaged and their sponsors would desert in droves.

    What you think?

TBH i dont get the hatred for Blatter. The group is so corrupt (and he's one of the less corrupt ones) that everyone in it looks bad just because of a few terrible people. he's only gona be replaced by someone worse

You cant have an alternative World Cup because it wouldn't be a 'World' cup then would it?

Its my way or the highway..........

They should have a independant committe who reviews all the main members each year, to make sure theres no corruption, the committee should change it year so no relationships with each can be established

But FIFA wont allow that as they know they would lose half there income from inpending bribes

Oh and the only reason England didn't get the world cup was because we didn't bribe them enough. Anyones kidding themselves if they think we didn't bribe them at all

Well it does and it doesn't. If the Russian 2018 World Cup was bought instead of earned, Newcastle have been cheated out of hosting games at SJP which would have been very beneficial to the region and the club.

I don't think the answer is to break away from FIFA, simply because the overwhelming number of nations that have supported Blatter could leave us isolated in global terms.
I still believe that if enough sponsors pull the plug on this corrupt organisation, then the much-needed change of leadership could still happen sooner rather than later.

Was hoping this was going to be the watershed moment for FIFA similar to the IOC after the Salt Lake City debacle, alas Blatter seems to be acting more like a dictator in his efforts to crush opposition within the organisation, turning a bling eye to/ actively encouraging those in the privelged inner circle of the organisation to use it to their own benefit (usually financially), dismissing reports of corruption as foreign troublemakers and making ridiculous speeches stating all is hormonious when the truth is blatant to all.

NATO halt all actions in Libya, Gadaffi can wait its Blatter we need to oust first.

Lovely thought but don't think you can unless one of the big guns were to join you. Spain are very popular with FIFA and it suits them to stay because of the success they've had recently. The French quite honestly do not like our financial muscle or FA. Germany won't rock the boat as they are staging the womens tournament soon. Who's going to join us that will make a difference? The USA? Laughed at in football terms on the continent. The rest can be bought and have been! Look at the situation you had prior to congress. Blatter meeting with the African delegates to ensure they did not support the FA. What happens at congress? The Congo guy stands up and slams the FA with a total disregard for the f**king mess football is in. We're too naive. None of these guys want to get off the gravy train so they aren't going to back us. We're stuck with this insular little world of FIFA where real reform never takes place.
