a few more games before the next break ITS COMPO TIME don't forget
there IS A LOT OF SPECULATION on players needing rest time etc, but these breaks . 3 this season before Christmas puts a teams"best" players under a lot of extra tension/ stress etc etc etc England have to play 4 games in their group 2 v Spain and 2 v Croatia just Croatia to come... it takes 3 breaks ! 3 disruptions.
would it be better to have a 2 week break [ weekends ] ….. ?

it was posted as quite complicated, and over time would be used tactically to benefit a club … also that smaller nations would have a chance to qualify .. well a couple of them have already shown in there own "class" they can hold their own.
it does however mean more breaks for the top division/divisions of most of the big 6 or 7 euro leagues 3 before Christmas that cant be good for continuity would be interesting to see how the clubs that are not with say more than 2 players on duty do compared to those that maybe 4 or more?

I quite like it actually. It makes ‘friendlies’ more exciting.
I would like to see us form a West Country Cup Comp for the close season too - City, Rovers, Swindon, Cheltenham, Yeovil and Oxford - possibly Torquay, Exeter, Forest Green and Plymouth too.
It would add some interest to what is the most boring time of the year for me!!!!

That would be an idea, stopped short of saying good idea as it would be a rather intense group! 10 teams! based on say 2 week period! probably leave out Oxford /torquay ? that could work! City Rovers Swindon Yeovil Exeter Cheltenham Plymouth and Forest green that's 4 match's 2 matchs and a final, finalists play 3 games.

The close season is a couple of months but by the time they have their hols come back for pre season training, go away for aeeks bonding only leaves 2 or 3 weeks and at least 1 game would be against serious opposition...…. so allow a week for that …...
