I remember in 2000 we did the double over Chelsea. 2-0 at Stamford Bridge with Muzzy Izzet and Stan Collymore scoring and 2-1 at Filbert Street with Muzzy Izzet and Gary Rowett scoring there Oh memories
Last time we played them their useless overpaid waste of space Striker Andriy Shevchenko scored a beauty against us. Can lightning striker twice? please log in to view this image Just think thats 85M worth of strikers. They are a pair of muppets
Sickening isn't it. What made it worse was when the ref said he had seen the video of the incident and he still thought is was a penalty!!!
Refs never like admitting their wrong. But when they do it they get respect for it but when they hide from it people just get even more pissed off with them
I'll always remember Guppy scoring a belter and effectively ending their title ambitions. Mind you it didn't do them too much harm in the end! Now will Torres play because if so miss firing strikers have a habit of biting us in the bum! Assuming of cause brum don't beat em
Yeah, that seems about right. I remember being delighted with result, so we must have come back from behind.
I think theres a competition every season between refs to see who makes the most or worse mistakes ? abit like snog-a-dog on a night out with your mates.
The thing that hurt worse is that it wasn't even a good 'simulation' - in hindsight if our boys had merely started to giggle and had doubled over laughing then even that doofus of a ref might have got the obvious ... on a more serious note, the FA should have used the incident as a watershed point - Johnsson should have been hit with an immediate ban from the competition for that season and Chelsea should have been fined and warned about their players' future conduct - the term 'bringing the game into disrepute' has seldom been better evidenced ...
Hmm, yeah remember that and MON fuming afterwards. However, the Guppy goal to did make up for it a bit.
I was in with the Chelsea fans when Duberry got the first for us and then Guppy with a cracker however I got my balls chewed when I jumped up both times and the stewards said I'd be thrown out if I did it again haha. Those were the days. If I remember right Millwall were playing in some cup game at Wembley and mysteriously had about 30,000+ fans there. I walked into a tube station and there seemed about 7000 of them in there all kicking off on the trains. It was time for a sharp exit.
Not trying to start an argument but that was a penalty all day long. No wonder the ref didn't back down, he got it right.
Whilst at full speed it lay look like it, tv analysis later showed (and the last angle on this footage is the best) that Elliott pulls his foot out of the tackle (ironically to avoid any chance of a penalty) at the last second - so there is actually no physical contact on Johnsson from any Leicester player whatsoever - hence Spencer Prior's fury - he was looking straight at Johnsson and sees exactly what he does - i.e flings himself between the two Leicester players .... now you may just be a WUM so this response may be futile - but you can take it from me that we would not still be bitter if we were not absolutely convinced of the 'simulation' ...
