He's made some great saves in other games recently though - and Gerken isn't much of a replacement.

We dropped off big time when we forced Henderson to leave.

Anyway - on that basis you could drop the whole s*dding defence most weeks
    at the moment.

My choice is to give Lewis Carey a shot in goal as James has been poor and in fairness if u look at the games over the last couple of seasons Gerken has played he let more in than James which is why James then got back in to the team.

So give the gloves to Carey as cant see him doing any worse and we could have a gem there as he is highly rated.

In comparison to Watford. They had a man utd keeper in goal and an england u21 who has been in the england squad for capello sat in the bench in Loach who we have been linked with. Both keepers far better than ours and on top of that one of the best defence unit ive seen at the gate this season. Wouldnt mind their no 33 who was best player on the pitch. Made stead his bitch

I would agree with this, every time the ball came towards Stead that beast of a defender just headed it away, the times Stead did win there was no one to pass it too anyway.
But I would play young Lewis Carey in goal give him a chance to see if he can do it (in fairness i would of given old Carey a go in goal last night)

Lewis carey, are you lot having a laugh, jesus christ no we got dean gerken who is a really good keeper, we haven't seen him play properly for about 2 year, which people critisise his commandment of the box, give the guy another shot he deserves it.

I don't doubt Deano, sometimes it's worth having a look at the kids and to be truthful he can't be any worse than what we saw last night!

To make it you need to play, he's young so might be the answer, never seen him play so can't comment really!

But all great keepers have to start somewhere, I know at the moment we are playing for survival but on last nights performance I don't any of apart from Foster / McManus wanted to be playing.
Maybe the kids will play their heart out?

gerken had us in the top 10, have we even be that high in the league with jamo, granted gerken make's mistake but he's had 2 years sat on the bench and all he would of been able to do is take tips off james, lets not forget deano came to this clubs as an understudy to Basso, basso left and gerkin was thrown into the squad he had to make a big impact, i say give him the final 8 games, he does well he's next year's number 1, if he dosent then he will have to find another club, Scott loach is number 2 at watford he is a must if were still in this league! which we will be

Loach is only number 2 to the Man U keeper that is on loan. Loach will be their no1 again soon.

Remember Loach was young once, if Carey is ****e ok but as said not seen him might be the next Jamo or next Peter Schmicheal ?

Some on here see reserves they might be able to comment further?

Watford's keeper was virtually unemployed last night, one decent save at full stretch and a couple of bits and pieces - must have been the quietest games he has had in years...

As for young Carey (and by the way, what are the odds of having 2 LC's at the same club), I haven't seen him in action so can't comment but the same could be said for Henderson who came on as sub against (Cardiff?) and played very well so Shiny, how do you know...?

I doubt it, our manager doesn't rate him so he will probably be sold in the summer to a league 1 club.

Plus have you guys forgot about the howler Loach made against you guys at our place? The ' Air kick ' I could hear your fans laughing as you celebrated the goal! Thats why we went out in search of a new keeper on loan.

There once was a 'keeper called James
Who'd played hundreds and hundreds of games.
    He came for the ball
    But scored an own goal
His career has just gone up in flames.

There was once a gashead called pirate
When watching the Sags his eyes would dilate.
He wanted to reach for the top.
but it all came to flop.
He just ended up getting a gay flat mate.
