When i first joined this forum after previously being a member on the bbc 606 site, I used to really enjoy the chat with my fellow reds. Now this section of the forum seems to be a back slapping, in joke, clique loving place, which I have no desire to be part of. So I say a fond farewell to you all, my fellow redmen, may God (fowler) look done on us, and bestow us with the luck we deserve, and help us to achieve what I think we all want. Gotta say, I'm pissed off, with off topic crap, and I think they guys that run this board should look at a lot of the bollocks that's posted. Anyway, IBWT, put me down for 3-1 to us, with Suarez as my scorer for the rest off the season for the prediction league. I met a lot of good people here,many of whom have a massive insight and balanced point of view on LFC, and I'm very sad to leave, but I'm just too pissed off with trawling through pages of crap to be bothered anymore. So I wish you all the best, and if we win the PL, I'll be back to say hi! YNWA

I have noticed it has become a bit cliquey and I'm not really part of that now I'm not online as much. However I'll just keep contributing as best I can and I think you should too. It is still the best forum out there and has a lot of good people.

Gaf my man - Sorry to hear that, but understand. Our board has the biggest clique on the site - I personally keep one bollock in and one bollock out I did a similar thing and gave the site a good 5 month rest and came back. Got to say looking at the board this morn there are plenty of on topic threads with lots of decent discussions going on. The goal of the year thread, match thread, Skrtel thread and the top 8 thread. The thing is it helps to put some comments up on topic to keep them going otherwise they just sink down the board to be replaced by the off topic ones. Anyway take it easy Gaf and don't be a stranger YNWA
Agree with Billy, think there is plenty of on topic too. It's a catch 22, there are a few people on here who you would consider as friends. You take away the banter and off topic discussions then some of the more regular users will start to disappear. Whilst some of the less regular users find it hard to feel as part of the forum.
Plenty of on topic stuff, its not the mods fault if no one comments on them. The on/off topic discussion as happened many times and posters are aware that the "clique" stuff shouldn't go on every thread. I'm certainly not going to scroll through every comment BBC style. I don't see the problem myself. I don't like the bickering or off topic war/american stuff that a certain poster brings up so I just don't read it. Anyway, its your choice gaf. It'll be sad to see you go especially as I remember you from BBC606. All the best
Haven't had a leaving thread in ages. Sorry to see you leave Gaf and I hope you reconsider. Your reasons are complete bollox though. There is no bloody clique ffs there are people who get on and there are groups even who like to post and talk about certain topics I really don't see a problem with that nobody is ever ignored and made to feel left out. On/off topic stuff there's a good mix and people are free to talk about what they want. New on topic threads are always welcome and people who want more should post more. If anyone is unhappy with content or has a suggestion for threads then PM me and I'll do what I can.
there is a clique Luv, behave ffs. guessing Gaf is more a user that just wants to talk footie and about his club and cant be doing with the other ****e. should imagine he knows there is a need for the other bollocks as it does keep the site going, i have other interests, its just i am a member of a site specific to that topic as its generally filled with people who have more knowledge of the subject, its just he is probably seeing more of it than he likes, all this sympathy crap on threads that gets posted, dislike this, dislike that rubbish. there is a need for the other stuff, he just probably feels he is seeing too much of it. (not putting words in his mouth lol but probably where he is coming from)
I understand where he's coming from but like I said people are free to post threads and can add more footy related topics if they want to. Now I'll admit that I don't know the literal meaning of clique but I think it means a group or gang who EXCLUDE others and that's what I don't agree with I would never do that and try to make a post on every thread. I have never seen a group on here who ignore certain posters. I may have the meaning wrong though. Anyway I hate it when anyone leaves as I like this place and feel that everyone contributes in their own way, gaf was our Spurs wum and I found that funny so he'll be missed.

The sympathy posts comments annoys me because I spent a lot of time going out my way t stop that from happening and I believe most of them have. Plus, TBF, the sympathy posts that have been put have have been done so by the OP from what I've seen! The dislike stuff happens within the so-called clique so whats the issue? Like Mrs Gonzo says, nothing stopping people creating new threads but as as already been pointed out, there are plenty of on topic discussions about and if people were truly bothered about the off topic stuff then the on topics threads wouldn't sink. Personally, I see it as I do going to the pub on your own; there will be groups in there that stand together but you just mingle anyway and end up talking to someone about random **** as well as the footy. I don't like to see people live but everyone on here is a grown up capable of making their own decisions. Each to their own and all that
