Just as Norwich shouldn't be getting carried away about beating quite possibly the two worst sides in the Premier League and deluded about their League One players being as good as Ashley Cole and Roberto Carlos, so we should... no wait, we've beaten the BEST of the Championship sides!!

Still shouldn't get carried away, how we come back after this break will tell us a lot, if we can keep the run going ill start getting a little bit more exciting about our chances again

No, way to early to be excited yet. 3 bad games dont mean we are doomed the same as 3 decent performances dont mean we are brilliant. If we can go on a 10-12 match run then I may start to believe but until then Im just happy with decent results, entertaining matches and a bit of positivity.

Spot on fellas. Most dangerous of all is if the players start to think they can just show up and get a result. I think there are still a few twists and turns coming our way before January.

Its absolutely vital we get Collins on a permanent basis or at least a season long loan, I think hes on 3 months loan at the moment? We also need a keeper because Stockdale literally could be here today and gone tomorrow, get these things in place and then we just might have a half decent team.

Hey we haven't even played Blackburn and Arsenal yet! Still fair play to you guys you've had some great results, but if we avoided annihilation by Man United and Chelsea away and even matched them for spells I'd say we have a great chance of staying up.

Yorkie I have to be honest and say that this looked a decent thread until you mentioned Norwich in the first sentence! <doh> Who really cares about what Norwich are doing! Let's just concentrate on Ipswich Town and how well we are doing. As for getting carried away with a few wins all I would say is that I don't think many Townies are getting carried away just yet! <ok>

I don't think its just the wins that has got us carried away, its all about the performance to get the wins. We are now playing attractive football, rather than defensive. We look solid at the back for the first time in years, and up top we have the best partnership for a long long time. Its still early days granted, but the future is looking good for us for a change.

We certainly look a lot better than we did early in the season.

I was at Bristol City, and wasn't convinced by the 3-0 scoreline, though obviously a great start to the season.

Time will tell as to how we'll do.

Regarding Norwich - It looks very hard to call regarding who will go down!!! If you keep playing how you are at present, at worst you will have a chance of survival on the final day of the season.

Injuries and suspensions are the key for Saints. Great start and impressive football being served up.

Strength in depth would be my main concern and the vultures circling in January.

Can they do a Narwich and post back to back promotions?

    No.

    I agree BM

Yes they soundly beat us at Portman Road but we pulled it back to 3-2 and if our defence had been as solid as it is now I reckon we could have got at least a point from that game.

We certainly wouldn't have shipped 5. Although I don't think it was entirely our defenders fault and the midfield should have borne some of the criticism.

It's good to see Saints and Brighton mixing it up at the top as their football so far has justified their start. I believe that we'll pass them and hope it's sooner rather than later.

Mr Saint it's a fair point - I think we would give you a much better run for your money now <ok>

Maestro - we've beaten two top six sides on the trot. Norwich have beaten two bottom sides. Your lot are getting carried away, our lot aren't. That was my point <ok>

You said that you'd beaten the best. That is not the same as 2 sides in the top six. That's all my point is.
Not having a pop at you for feeling confident in the slightest. Just what you claimed <ok>

Right Maestro - best, as in top sides as opposed to worst, as in bottom sides. Tough concept I know.

no offence yorkie, but isn;t it norwich's mission this season to beat the poorer teams? that's how we'll stay up. you sound rather jealous as usual... fair play to ipswich - they seem to have turned a corner but when you mention squad depth to the saints i think you better think about how your defence would cope if two of them got injured <ok>
