Time for a reshuffle: 2 Bristol City players who should be dropped after weekend defeat.

Lee Johnson’s Bristol City slumped to their second consecutive defeat at the weekend as they lost 1-0 to Wigan Athletic on Friday night.
Following a 4-2 midweek loss to West Brom, it bumps the Robins down to eighth place in the Championship table.
After winning their previous four matches it seems they may well have been sussed out so a reshuffle may well be in order.
It will be harsh on whoever does face the chop given how well the club have played so far, but change is surely needed after the back-to-back losses.

So here are two players Johnson should cut ahead of the Villa trip…

    Jack Hunt
Hunt has had a torrid time over the two defeats and could do with a rest for his own good as well as the team’s.
Johnson has limited options in the position so it could call for a change of shape, but Hunt’s error-strewn performances against West Brom and Wigan need to be cut.

    Jamie Paterson
Callum O’Dowda was the Robins’ stand out player in the loss against the Baggies in midweek so it was slightly bizarre that he was dropped for Paterson against Wigan.
It is time for O’Dowda to be restored to the starting lineup in place of Patterson for Friday’s visit of Aston Villa.
Johnson should be rewarding his form players after all.

He rotated his squad in the 3 games last week.

There has been a full week between these fixtures so he should play his strongest 11 available
