Well we beat lesta , and drew with Pompey, excellent four points.
Now it is time for a decent home win in the week, against Swindon,
Hoping Brett pitman gets a game as it seems NM will be on his way shortly.
This is a game we should score some goals and build some confidence.
3-1 to the city.hopefully setting us up for the donny game.<party><party>

Couldn't care less about the League Cup and we are always knocked out very early these days anyway. I'd much rather we won our next league game against Doncaster. Yet again home form will dictate our season and we've not even scored at the Gate yet !

After 3 defeats on the trot I am not confident about this game at all, 2-0 to you lot.

Quite frankly, I'd love to see us have a good League Cup run. We've got a squad big enough to make a real impact on the Cup and I'd like to see some of the fringe players get a good run out and prove themselves. If our current situation is anything to go by we need the money a cup run could generate.

I think its important we win this home game so that we get our first home win out the way, it will also mean we are on a roll going into the doncaster game.

Surely PDC will have words with his team and inspire them to a comfy win.

Perish the thought Lan, as a respected moderator I would never dream of committing such an act. I was merely expressing my emotion after reading the title of this thread <ok>

'For the majority of their history, Bristol Rovers have played their home games at Eastville Stadium, where they remained for a period of 89 years from 1897-1986. Financial problems led to the team being forced to leave Eastville, and they found a temporary home at Twerton Park, the home of Bath City. They stayed in Bath for 10 seasons, before returning to Bristol in 1996.
Aftermath of the fire at Eastville Stadium, August 1980

Rovers have also played home games at Ashton Gate following a fire which destroyed one of stands at Eastville, and also for one match during the early days of the period spent in Bath. During World War II, some friendly matches were played in Kingswood, and in their early history some games were played at Parson Street, Bedminster..'

Interesting section of article that Wiz probably taken from the Rovers website??

Yes we moved to Bath and had financial difficulties, we still do to this day!!
But we did not have to form a new club 'Bristol City 1982 Ltd'.

Interesting you should leave that next section in too........It's widely known some of your unscrupulous 'fans' burned down the stand at Eastville and similarly then attempted to burn down the main stand at Twerton Park............

Now what's this talk about stones??

We once asked Wiz to provide us with the stats since 1982. He never did though :)

I understand you a tad thick, but answer me a simple question - where do you currently ply your trade as a football club & when was the last time we were in ther same division?

It does not take a lot of brain power to work out which club has progressed more than the othere ;)

I asked you under which of your 24 managers and on what football grounds since 1982 did you want these stats...?:emoticon-0120-doh:
