Uh... well, **** luck but it would be worse if it was mitro or janmaat or perez. Kruls not been that great over the last year, hes had a couple of good games, but hes shipped quite a few unnecessary goals too. But what can you do. We're without a keeper. Chelsea have this problem they go sign Marco Amelia...we have two keepers down...we gonna field a 17 year old?

Woodman in line to be recalled. Rather him than Eliott. Darlow - injured

How longs Darlow out for. Wonder if Elliott got injured whether we'd qualify for getting a keeper on an emergency loan, though can still sign one who's a free agent. Chelsea brought one is as cover for Begovic after Courtouis got injured. How good is Darlow out of curiosity.

As much Krul hasn't been at his best for a while, it could be a big problem.

    Alternatives are NOT GOOD.

Darlow, untried in PL and injured.
Injury aside, now would be the opportunity to see why we bought him and what he's about.

Elliot - Better get behind, as he'll be playing by the looks of it.

Woodman - Yeah, lets pin our hopes on an 18 year old, plying his trade in the 3rd tier of English football.

    Not great options are they?

The fact that Woodman is coming back suggests that the reports are true. We are in deep **** if we lose another first teamer to long term injury

Elliott will have deputise which is a significant disadvantage over having Krul fit. Hopefully Darlow isn't out for much longer and can come in and show us he's good enough. If it turns out he isn't good enough, or we have to depend on Elliott it will cost points and make staying up that much harder.

Trouble with Woodman as well - Stick him in at the deep end and we could ruin his confidence.

Doubt he will be picked ahead of Elliott. He'll be on the bench for cover though. Anyway, stick him in at the deep end and we could boost his confidence. I hate that negative thinking around fielding youth players. Get them on the pitch when opportunity allows and find out if they are good enough. If they haven't got the mentality/personality to cope with individual set backs they probably won't be good enough to make it at the top level anyway. Waiting until they are 22 to give them a shot isn't doing them any favours. Just my opinion, like.

I have no problem with fielding youngsters. The trouble is, with the atmosphere the way it is and quitters like Coloccini in front of him we risk a lot. If he were to play against Norwich and we fail to win, the atmosphere at the ground will be poison. That being said, I think personally he would be able to handle the pressure. Just pointing out the potential risks.

He is a big loss. We just don't have good enough back up options. Krul with the ball at his feet though honestly makes me feel so nervous though. His kicking is shocking. Hopefully at we won't miss that.

To be honest, it doesn't really matter because with Krul and Darlow out, Elliott with Woodman as his backup are the only options.

I'm not a fan of Eliott myself. Hoping he proves me wrong though.

At least Woodman has been playing and is Match Fit.
When was the last time Elliot played?
Maybe Woodman is worth a go....

I think our GK coach, Simon Smith worked with him for England. Have only seen him [Woodman] play for Englands kids. He was fantastic at that level.

Elliot has been fairly solid when covering if my memory serves, one or two blunders but Krul is hardly innocent of that over the last year or so. He's a free agent come July so he might ramp up his performances and try and win himself a new contract.
