    The return begins -

”Kit Symons provided a positive prognosis in Friday’s press conference regarding the fitness of Tim Hoogland and Fernando Amorebieta. The defensive pair have been sidelined for several months through injury, but are now nearing returns to full training.

“Tim and Fernando were both running on Friday morning,” the Fulham Manager revealed. “They were both out and they’re both at the same stage now with their rehabs. Although they’ve had different injuries and different treatments, they’re actually at the same stage now, so they’re progressing, they’re running, and by the end of the next week they should be in training which will be great news for those two boys coming back in.”

“They’ve both been out quite a long time so touch wood they get through this next stage and come into modified training next week at some stage, and then it’s just getting their fitness levels up, their match fitness with the ball. Obviously they’ve done all their CV [cardiovascular] work in the gym to keep those levels up but they’ll need some sort of match stimulus, whether that’s friendlies or in-house games.”

And when asked about a potential timeframe for a First Team return, he stated: “Hopefully we’ll be looking February time for the pair of them if all goes well, but I don’t want to tempt fate. But they’re both looking good, looking strong.””
