Having enjoyed the other threads on the best and the worst Hull XI i was wondering what you guys thought would be a Hull Legends XI. Those players that made an outstanding comtribution or impression on us all. also would you include ashbee after recent events? few suggestions GK: Musselwhite DF: Jacobs DF: Whittle DF: Dewhurst DF: Jon Whitney MF: Stuart Elliot MF: Brabin MF: Joyce MF: Jason Price FC: Darby FC: Linton Brown i know i've not included Chiltern or Windass who are obvious candidates. just thought i'd throw some other names out there.
Ive said before I think on other forums I dont think you can do these all times xi's including players you havnt seen. im 24 and unfortunatly missed the likes of chillo and wagstaff but me putting them in my xi would be a cheat I might as well just copy someone elses. so from the teams I have seen Gk- Myhill (though mannone is better hasnt being here long enough) dr- rosenoir dc- Whittle dc- Turner dl- Dawson mr- Hunt Mc- Ash mc- geo ml- elliot fc- king fc- deano I realise hunt didnt play on the right often but he can play there and who are the alternatives? mc-

The best way to decide if someone is a legend is if they are spoken about long after they left. I don't think you can class any of the modern squad as legends just yet... ;-)
Ashbee has to be included in here. He's cities greatest ever captain and nobody will be able to match his achievements in a city shirt. Just because he threw a paddy against us cos he didn't want to leave doesn't tarnish 9 years of inspirational leadership, wonderful goals and pure commitment.
Depends on how you define 'Legend'. In terms of ability, not really sold on Ash, but perhaps on leadership, but even then, well.....
In terms of the biggest influences since I've been watching, I'd go with: Myhill Ricketts Turner Whittle Dawson Price Geovanni Ashbee Elliott Windass Campbell Clutching at straws with Ricketts and Price maybe :/
