Always worthy of a plug.... Râs supporters going the extra mile in aid of QPR Tiger Cubs when Rangers travel to West Ham United in October ... FOLLOWING hot on the heels of the record-breaking success of Tiger Feet 5 earlier this year, QPR in the Community Trust are delighted to confirm details of their latest Tiger Feet walk. When the Râs take on West Ham United on Sunday 5th October 2014, an army of Rangers supporters will make the long 14.5 mile walk from Loftus Road to The Boleyn Ground in aid of the QPR Tiger Cubs, a football team for children and young people with Downs Syndrome. Run in partnership with the Downs Syndrome Association, the Tiger Cubs project aims to create a multi-tier learning environment that will improve the participantsâ overall physical, social and emotional health. The Trust now runs three sessions for children and one adultâs team. Since Tiger Feet's inception in 2010, the walks have raised in excess of £40,000 and the Trust are hoping to drum up even more support this time with the money raised going directly to the team to cover their expenses and assisting with future projects. âThe Tiger Feet walks have gone from strength to strength each year,â Trust Business Development Manager, Fiona Hodgson, told www.qpr.co.uk. âWe were so delighted with how the walk went last time, with the QPR family showing amazing support. âWe are very proud of the Tiger Cubs project and are very grateful for the opportunities that this fundraiser enables us to deliver. âWe've raised some fantastic money over the last five years with walks to Crystal Palace, Watford, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Charlton Athletic and we're all very grateful for any support that can be given for our trek to West Ham.â Please help us raise awareness of what we are doing and âLikeâ us on Facebook: www.facebook.com/tigerfeet6 To sponsor the walkers visit virginmoneygiving.com/tigerfeet6 For further details regarding the event, please contact Fiona Hodgson -
