    The Walk To ... Arsenal

QPR in the Community Trust’s last three sponsored walk events have been a great success.

This season, ‘Tiger Feet 4’ will be a sponsored walk to the Emirates Stadium – home of Arsenal – for our match with the Gunners on Saturday 27th October.

The annual event – which has already seen participants walk from Loftus Road to Crystal Palace, Watford and Tottenham – raises money for the QPR Tiger Cubs.

Set up in 2009, the Tiger Cubs are a football team for children and young people with Down’s Syndrome (DS).

The Tiger Cubs are run in partnership with the Down’s Syndrome Association and provide children and young people with DS the same opportunities of being part of a team as their able-bodied peers.

Since its formation, the success of the project has been such that it won the 2010 Football League Award for Best Disability Community Project.

Money raised from the Tiger Feet walk allows our Community Trust to offer additional activities to weekly football sessions, including golf and tennis. We now also run the QPR Tigers, a weekly session for adults with DS.

Our aim this year is to raise £10,000 from the walk.

There are a couple of ways in which you can support this fundraiser.

Please help us raise awareness of what we are doing and ‘Like’ our Facebook page … www.facebook.com/tigerfeetwalk4.

And if you would like to sponsor the walkers, please visit … uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/tigerfeet4.

If you have any questions regarding the event, please do not hesitate to contact Fiona Hodgson – [email protected].
