Yep, all the shoulda, coulda, woulda. This country, that country blah blah. Hate to hark back to day one ish of this, but nestling at the bottom of the table was the Western Isles with four cases. You didn't need any expertise in viruses, contagious diseases, call them what you will, to think to yourself, if it has got there, any populous areas are fooked.
Not covid, but another with a great bedside manager for nervous kids is this dentist. (Being me, I had to search out how he did it)
Interesting........ normal flu cases are 90% down https://metro.co.uk/2020/12/04/nhs-...s-drop-90-and-covid-vaccines-arrive-13699660/
I still reckon Covid will stick around like the Flu does now, and will be subject to an annual vaccination programme like the seasonal Influenza is before gradually mutating into a less deadly form. Then again something far more deadly will come alone eventually and get the lot of us.
We’ve toppled off the front page. Down to 47th with 217/100,000. It’s interesting that virtually all of the Tier 2 places on that page are rising.
I have no idea how accurate this is, but it has us even lower. https://coviddatashare.s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/TableCumulative_Rate_20201206.html
A fair few Tier 2 places are now in the top 20. The tiers need a rework this week before they lose all credibility - parts of London in particular.
They should have been in Tier 3 from the off, but it was financial reasons that kept them out, which throws the whole thing into disrepute. I think it means they'll keep us all under tighter controls, to justify measures in London.
Where's Oliver Cromwell when we need him? This is a pandemic. The variables that effect the infection migration paths are numerous, interactive and difficult to control, mainly because of human beings desire to not be told what to do. It's a very fine balance to trade health risks (current) with long term health risks due to severe economic impacts of controls. Would any of you want that responsibility of decision making ? What would you do then ?
I can't imagine why London's figures are rocketing. People around Harrods and on Regent St seem to be following all the rules. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
That made me look more closely at the pictures. Are you sure there wasn't just a special offer on for Peaky Blinder products?
Someone on this forum recently said it was all down to over 50s going out. Maybe we should have a Spot The Ball type competition and ask him to put an x on one. If he can find one...
