Had my 1st jab at Beverley Racecourse this morning, ( Pfizer ). Very professionally run, no queueing and of course very safety conscious.
Covid denier who refused to wear mask dies after catching the virus himself Gary Matthews, 46, from Shrewsbury, Shropshire, died a day after testing positive for Covid-19 on January 13. He was a regular contributor to online conspiracy forums.
My Nan had her first jab (Astra Zeneca) on Tuesday at the KCOM. She’s in her 70s. She went with her husband who’s a bit younger in his 60s. Whilst she was having hers, she asked if he could have his too. The lady went off to check and they had spare so they both got theirs. Maybe why our region is much ahead of elsewhere using up stock that would have otherwise been wasted.
Be interesting to see how these fines will be collected/people made to pay, also what happens if they don't ( Sorry if it's been in the news, I'm trying not to watch it to much these days )
I know of several locally that did the same, although not all at the Kcom, so it does seem that this region is following a pragmatic approach, which makes perfect sense to me.
Ah ok, it was properly organised then. Wonder if they can find grounds to go after Rita Ora again after today's revelations, I saw the restaurant manager had been fired for accepting the bribe. I wouldn't be surprised if it all just quietly fades away. Then they wonder why people ignore the rules. Rant over.
Yay, I just got my test result. Stuck the swab up my nose and tickled me tonsils for ten seconds. Sent the mucky thing off and got the all clear within 24 hours. It's coz I'm not a dirty bastard like you lot
That has to be one of the gentlest rants I've ever read. If I happen to get on the wrong side of someone, I hope it's you.
Could've been worse... https://www.euroweeklynews.com/2021...se-health-authorities-begin-anal-covid-swabs/
Another vaccine approved, will be made in Teeside as well, 60 million for Uk but for second half of the year, shal we give the French and Germans any of our spares ?
Friend of a friends business. They were selling it to another company as the pandemic struck but the buyers pulled out. business has gone to the wall. Poor blokes suicidal and rumours are saying he’s took the money! Load of bullshit So sad Staff at energy consultancy Utility Alliance based on Hartlepool marina were informed of the bad news on Thursday morning (January 28). Directors for the company, which had a turnover of £21million, blamed the impact of the pandemic and said they did everything they could to find new investment. 250 lost jobs
Whilst it is too late for this director. I still will be happy to speak to anyone who’s business is struggling. For some Directors the loss of a business is as hard as the loss of a friend. No magic wand, clever wheeze or complex solutions, just a voice of experience and understanding. The most common thing said to me by Directors is “I wish we had spoken a few months ago”.
