This is turning into a perfect storm. The channel ports are now in Tier 4. The same channel ports are becoming grid locked with lorries trying to get to Europe. Europe is overrun with the virus and grid locked with lorries trying to get into Britain. Boris has got a lot on his plate atm.
Even if it was to go all wrong from now, they havn't had businesses closed for the best part of 10 months, people have been going to work and the economy is not bust. They are still not in lockdown and the vaccine is not far away.
That's a good point, atheism isn't a religion, it's an absence of one. Still, my answer to the question would still contravene the board rules. Plus it's still my opinion and no matter how much I believe it to be true given the evidence that backs it up, it's ultimately worthless. The world will sort itself out eventually and that's good enough for me.
This feels so disappointing because everyone has made plans, and even up to PMQ a couple of days ago, the PM was insisting there would be no change to Christmas arrangements. Lockdown in November so we can have Christmas and all of that. To have it ripped away with comparative short notice makes it so much worse than if they’d never dangled it in the first place. On a personal basis, we’ve been virtually isolating for the last week or so, so that we could (separately) go and visit our elderly mothers who would otherwise be alone, and who we haven’t seen for months. Now trying to work out if we could/should go.
No to be quoted, but if its for the one day and you haven't traveled from or to a Tier 4 area BB you should be ok... I thin k....
i could visit mine, but mother in law is north of the border - can’t do a round trip in a day and as of Boxing Day it’s against the law to cross the border. She’s old, vulnerable and in need of support as isolation is impacting her quite badly, which is I think the only grounds we could possibly have for my other half to go to see her. I know it’s **** for everyone but tonight I’m feeling it really badly.
So go, you've done the right thing and being sensible and isolated the last week, look after the people you care about and need your love, sometimes the laws an ass, most of thoose giving the orders have being looking after number one with self invested interest/shares in vaccine companies and massive contracts to thier mates, you do what's best for you and your family and sod what any one else thinks.
