He shouldn't have to speak French- when there is an Englishman in the room everyone else should speak English! Lille should immediately adopt a policy of English-language only. It works for me in America... everyone drops the French and speaks to me in English... although it's obvious it can't be their first language.

I took French briefly as a kid but about all I remember is "Je suis un espion belge" and "Je mange le chat". I don't think I could get far in France with those two phrases.

The only French I know is "Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir ".

I not sure Joe should say that to either his coach or his teammates though!!!!!!!!!!!

Why not? This is France after all- a very liberal country- men kiss each other all the time there- that might go over quite well. You saw Poulsen's new French team wear powder pink.

The French are very progressive- they know wearing women's clothes or asking other men to sleep with you does not alter your masculinity in any way.

Funniest thing about the transfer window was jim on sky sports saying that clubs had until eleven o'clock to inform sky sports of confirmed transfers - no need to inform the f.a. Then

Anyone watch the transfer window on BBC.com?
One guy said he saw Bellamy driving to melwood about three hour before it was confirmed that he had signed, and the guy who was running it said 'soon you'll be telling me the reason it was delayed so much was so he could go grab his golf clubs first...' <laugh>
