So I just bought my ticket for tonight's game & the system was running slow so I asked the staff* a couple of questions.
Apparently only ~6000 sold so far for tonight. More importantly when I checked if my loyalty points would be added I got this reply "the loyalty points system isn't working properly yet". Me: "I wondered if there was a reason for the strange game by game ticket windows instead of using the points". Him\Her: *nod*. Me: "my points will be added once it's working though?" Him\Her: "yes, of course".

Obviously this is only roughly what was said but for those complaining about how away game tickets are allocated, it seems we have an answer, once it's working it'll be done by loyalty points as originally promised.

*There was a man and a woman on the two open counters - not going to say which it was in case they weren't supposed to tell me.

There appears to be difficulties reported about people trying to get West Ham tickets, people having lot's of grief whichever way they try. The low allocation is causing problems as the Club is trying to find a way to allocate them fairly, but the "system" seems to be struggling in all directions.
