Many posters on social media sites, facebook and the likes, complaining about how difficult it has become to get tickets. The shortages are inevitable give the current success of the team, everyone wants to be there and thats understandable. Saw one guy who regularly travels from Ireland but wants to bring wife, brother and four kids to Villa game and wasnt happy he wouldnt get tickets. Suspect we could sell 70k for this one. People should remember there are only so many seats to go around. Personally I much prefer to see a jam packed Elland Road with a successful team than 12k against Rotherham in a third round FA Cup tie when we were struggling

It's hard on fans for sure, looking at away tickets for Brentford, and if you haven't been to at least 17 away games this season you aren't going.<yikes> hard on them who like to go a few away games, but it comes with the club atm, with the great football we are playing.

Still think those who have spent a shed load all season should get first dabs, which includes the likes of the lads from Scandinavia and Ireland and anywhere else where long distance, expense and effort is expended. Doesnt seem fair that "Oh we're doing great now think I'll go and support the team" hoover up tickets.

Remember when we were getting 17,000 midweek and 20,000 on Saturdays take a bow all you guys that were part of that mob

Here’s an interesting perspective for the guy who runs the Galway supporters club we’re travelling with next time. He sent this email to Angus Kinnear today. I think he makes some valid points on behalf of us non uk fans

    Sir,
My name is Paul Madden from Galway In Ireland Throughout the years I’ve organised group trips to Leeds United on the 20 March I sent my ticket request with required members numbers for tickets to Aston Villa game. Yesterday I received an email from Nicola in the ticket office saying they are not taking group bookings for the game
I don’t know who makes these decisions but when making them do you consider foreign fans that have travel plans
I have a bus, ferry and hotel booked for this game for 34 people and now we can’t get tickets
This is the first time ever that I have not been able to get tickets for our final game of the season. And all because Leeds United want to cater for fans that haven’t bothered to buy tickets for years
Think before you act. Thousands of foreign fans and supporters groups have stood by Leeds United and travelled to games while these absentee fans deserted the club Now that the club is on the verge of something great our directors have forgotten us.
    Do we not matter anymore.
    I’ll await your response

Thing is Eire, not sure supporters clubs should get any priority, I remember when we played Bournemouth last game of the season 89-90,I went 43 games that season and had a season ticket yet never got a ticket due to supporters clubs giving tickets out to fans who had only been a few games.Hard to be totally fair to all and will be worse when ;) we go up,but the club are trying to be fair and only so much they can do.

No. I’m sorted thanks Chesh. Jammy sorted myself and daughter. Maybe the cheese wedge or something could be reserved for supporters groups. I don’t know. The price of success eh

Let's face it there's never going to be a totally fair system. I normally try to get to a few home matches a year sometimes it's only been the one but got the gold card this year when we got Bielsa (hoping to get to some London away games but there was no chance of that). Normally wouldn't make a special journey for the last home game but this year (what ever happens in the next 6 games) it'll be worth the expense and hassle. Last year for Heckingbottom's last game... It was a struggle to bother to watch a stream... So sorry I'm part of the problem but it's inevitable

Did that for Millwall and managed ok (my Dad's got a season ticket so will also get him to have a go at the same time so between us *fingers crossed*) it's now just a case of seeing if Sky move us to Friday or Sunday or Saturday early/late - I mean they are obviously going to move us - it's just to when....

Think we had a thread on something similar and there was a post about a new stadium planned to hold about 55k. Talking to spuds fan today and despite their new stadium he will struggle to get tickets for the 10 or so home games he can make. Also said that their away allocation is still only about 3k.

Don't you only get 30 mins Chesh. They don't let you on till 9.00 or they don't open the site up. Then you get put in a queue. <yikes>

I've forgotten how many last home games I've been to and this hopefully won't be any different. Flying to scumland Friday then back Sun. Hotel booked for the two nights. The only thing that could feck it up is if I can't get a ticket obviously or they change the game to a Sun or Mon. Got my non 606er mates who have season tickets to order tickets and myself and two of my sons are Gold members so we'll all try. Fingers crossed.

The pre waiting and queue aren't part of the 30 minutes, that's only when you're on the site.

    Ps no wonder there's no tickets,Shako orders 100 at a time.<laugh>

Compared to previous seasons, this one has been a major success regardless how it ends

Just been having a look on FB. One guy went on 40 mins before 9am, & struggled to get a ticket! So beware!

FB is on meltdown over the ticket (re)allocation. I can see a good case in the example Eire has given, as each ticket applied for appears to be for a member, so it's a very small leap to convert that into a group allocation - especially a group that has a history, and not one quickly cobbled together to harvest tickets unfairly.

Bottom line. Apparently we only have 7000 tickets available for each game, after season tickets, corporates etc., get theirs. Yet there are 26000 members. So even being allocated 1 ticket per membership, you only have a 1 in 4 chance of getting a ticket. And yet all sorts of morons are demanding that 2 is the minimum. Don't they realise that they firther halve their chance if they do this? <doh>
