What have the the club got to hide when it comes to the forthcoming ticket price hike ?
Every single premiership took part in reviling what it costs to watch football at their stadiums.
The swans refused to take part.

The annual BBC Price of Football survey gathers season and match-day ticket prices from clubs across the UK.

The survey also looks at how much clubs charge for pies, programmes, tea and away tickets across the UK, found replica shirt prices rose 4.8% year on year. Premier League clubs released 50 outfield strips this summer and a home jersey bought in a club shop will now cost an average £49.68.

Click here to use the Price of Football calculator and see how much it costs to follow your club.

Full details on how the calculator works, and how the survey was compiled can be read here. You can download the full results for 2015 here (pdf 536 KB).

Swansea City were the only club out of 230 across the UK and Europe who declined to take part in the study.

    Here's your answer:

"Swansea were left angered last year after they claimed the results – which saw the Swans labelled the fifth most-expensive club to watch in the Premier League were “completely misleading” and based on a “totally flawed” formula. Swansea were said to be one of the most expensive match days in the top-flight despite having the second cheapest season tickets in the 2014 study."

Can't blame the Club one bit.

Tell me why we should take part in a 'survey' which historically publishes skewed results based on mathematically flawed algorithms. In other words, the results of their 'in depth' survey will always be meaningless because they are completely wrong.

We have nothing to hide Dai, but we do have respect in our business and, as with any respectful business, we won't associate with dubious agency, especially when we know in advance that the agency is corrupt (meaning wrong).

Just shows that we are an independent body which makes its own way and needs no one to follow. In this case we had no need nor desire to subscribe to a media device designed, imo, to give reporters something to write about and fill inconsequential column inches.

Well im sorry but this was the ideal situation to prove to the world once and for all they were wrong last time and by the only ones refusing to take part gives the impression they have something to hide.......the excuse you give dont wash with me and it surely wont wash with many others;. it shows the club in a bad light whichever way you look at it....

No - only in your eyes. We don't have to "prove" anything to the world. If the 'survey' is flawed (as it seems to be because we had the 2nd cheapest tickets but were the 5th most expensive) then why should we participate? The main cost that fans face is the price of a ticket, either on the day or a season. Those prices are freely available to anyone who can use the Internet. **** 'em.

Is that why i had a phone call this morning asking if i knew anything because of my contacts what is going on <laugh> Never mind about freely available they should be published like the rest have done. What are they hiding and if nothing then why be afraid to publish.......If it was another club who refused to publish then i can guarantee 100% fans on here would be all over them like a rash

Yes he had a way with words and very underrated imo.

Dai, the only contacts you have are the ones connected to the skullcap you wear for your weekly treatment.

If you read the article posted, it does say that all our tickets are published and freely available on our website - so absolutely nothing is being hidden. It's there, clear as day, in the public eye for anyone to view. We are also one of the only clubs to have fan representation in our board, so we are actually one of the most transparent clubs there has ever been in modern times regarding the goings on at board level - if we have a problem with something like pricing, we don't have to protest by boycotting our ground like Liverpool, we can tell our supporter's trust and they will raise the issue within board meetings. Hardly hiding. Our chairman, directors and players regularly take part in fans forums to answer questions directly from the fans too. We're not hiding anything. Pretty much everything we do regarding pricing is out there in the public eye for anyone who wants to find it - it's not our problem if people can't be bothered to.

"As a club, we have fan representation at board level and if any supporters have concerns about ticket prices or the value for money they have the opportunity to come directly to us. All our ticket prices are freely available to view on the club website.’'

It's the same old story. Dai and one of his old fogies grumbling about everything. Nothing new. It's the just Stadtler & Waldorf of Swansea City.
