Corporate up by 7% for 2015/2016.....I wonder if that same increase (or more) will be reflected in regular season pass prices
If the 7% is reflected all around the stadium than I can forsee a few more fans turning their back on watching City. It rules me out, but I will ensure I get to see the half a dozen £16 games. I would be really interested to know how many fans from our first Premier League season in 2008 have given up going to the games on a regular basis. I know of 10 (including me and my daughter) that have walked away because of price, Allam twatiness, premier league cheating twat players.
I doubt you'll get any £16 games next year. They accept they cocked up on the range of costs this year, so the lower ones are liable to go up to fund any reductions in the dearer ones. If the 7% is genuine, then presumably that would be on top. The pricing is only one factor. They really don't seem to have any idea how to treat people or market the club. I guess they'd point at the finances, but that's quite short termist, and misses so much of what football culture is about.
North Ferriby Tiger is correct that prices have risen but it's a larger increase - nearer 12% in the Premier Club. Unless he has a different package to me ....
I'm expecting them to be £20/£30/£40, but I'm only guessing. I haven't got my PC renewal paperwork yet, how much is it up, about £100? (I can't actually remember how much it was)
Prices have to go up in the short term. We have been blessed with below average prices, its not good, and fans including myself will have to consider the viability of being able to pay up but I would also say that the ways to pay for your 'city fix' as a season ticket holder have never been more flexible. I've probably missed 6 home games this season as a season ticket holder but I don't mind. I pay for my seat and if I miss some games it costs me more, but its mine, it has been since the stadium opened and I think a season ticket is a premium product with some average cost benefits. (before some go on about being moved, I sympathise but its been on the cards for about 8 years. AP wanted when he was chairman so its nothing just been pulled out of the hat by AA). Maybe if the price does go up and £25/40 banding does seem fair they could do a 6 pack or 4 pack offer on some games... Buy a Man City/Chelsea/Arsenal/Man U ticket for 40 and get Stoke, Albion, Swansea and Bournemouth for £80.
You'd have been better not mentioning that, as your dismissive version there is wrong. AP's vision was different to the **** up we've just had, plus he would have handled it better and actually liaised with fans to smooth things through.
Is it that bad now we are coming to the end of the first season with the new layout? Maybe the execution was poor but the idea is a long standing one.
Nope, the previous ideas where different, and yes, for many it really is that bad. You've not moved, so I suspect can't appreciate many of the issues and attitudes. As I said, you'd have been better not mentioning it, than disrupt a thread going over old ground.
Dont have an issue with corporate price increases at all. I suspect they will be frozen for the rest. It is still cheap PL football despite what some may think.
