Hope it is OK to restart your thread, King Kerry. Well, we never thought it would be like this. We expected to be around 6-8 points behind Spurds before our March 24 game, giving us a good chance of overhauling them with our experience and a thumping victory at the Bridge. But I also expected us to have turned the corner in the Prem the run-up to this match, which we haven't yet. The only reason we are in with a chance of catching Spurs' is because of their meltdown. And now we have the curveball of Arsenal playing OK in March (hopefully before their annual April foolery). Spurs are very beatable, but do we have what it takes to get top 4 or are we relying on others' mistakes?
RDM--is confident of a top 4 finish. A win against the Spuds is vital to this goal! They've been a bit wobbly of late..and we're on the rise! Here's to 3 points!
Minor blip last night, thought we played okay but the penalty ****ed it up for us,harsh I thought. Spuds is a must win game now, nothing else will do.
Monstering the Matthew Harding Lower on Sat. Can't wait: game of the season for me! There's only two days to Tottenham, two days to Tottenham
I dont think either of us are playing well at the moment, I think it is a must win for you and a must not lose for us!! If we leave the bridge with a point I think it will give us the confidence we are clearly lacking at the moment to carry us through the rest of the season. After the game on Saturday we have Swansea (h) Sunderland (a) Norwich (h) Bolton (a) QPR (a) Blackburn (h) Villa (a) Fulham (h) you would have to think we will pick up a large number of points over that period.
Every season Arsenal have the 'easiest' run-in but bottled it. When it's squeaky-bum time Swansea, Norwich and resurgent Blackburn and Qpr are not so easy, or an emotional Bolton match. If you lose at the Bridge you will be under huge pressure but it is your to lose
I can see Spuds dropping points against Swansea, Sunderland, Bolton, QPR & Villa so the three they could lose at headquarters won't matter too much.
Seems like every game now, someone writes that this is THE defining match of our season. This IS the defining match of our season ( thought I'd get in early ) Seriously, it will not be a good look to lose this one, especially since I have a Spud son in law !!!!!!! Can you imagine !!!! Still getting over last match against the Sods. However, feeling quietly confident. Come on Chels.
I will say--if we lose or draw against the Spuds-then I will end up having a very serious condition! I'm able to come round if we blob against most sides, within 24/36 hours! If we dont get 3 points this weekend, I may have to have medical treatment! The Mrs is on Red Alert!
Why? He dished out enough when he was on here, he was the one bragging and wumming on this board, not us. I told him when I wasn't a mod that I'd do exactly what he did if we managed to finish above you. And LF, I can unban him. I just don't want to as I'm not the one who did.
Lets just say that there is a chance he could be re-instated to enjoy the freedom of this great Chelsea board but only under certain conditions.
Tick Tott... down to two points now. But we are still not convincing at all. Without European footie we would overtake them, but we looked knack'd last night. What do you think D?
