Westwood ready to sign they say and Ned going to Bolton as part of a deal for Garry Cahill. If true it makes it clear why Ned said he wanted to stay in the NW. I like Ned but think we can get better. SNQ on SSN saying no striker, well the big signing, before August. But SSN say we are after Crouch.
Good luck to Ned, he's decent enough but there are far better defenders out there for the kind of money they are asking for. He's never really blown me away apart from the goal at chelsea. As for the striker, it either means we are trying to deflect away from this potential Ba fiasco or They are really going to be meticulous about the big star striker and they know it takes time. Hopefully the latter
With Nedum leaving that only leaves us with Turner, Bramble & Ferdinand at the back for next season, which does not offer a whole load of confidence so looks like we will be in the market for a central defender along with 2/3 strikers, left-back, left midfield. These areas should be the priority.
Yes Ithats the 8 Bruce was talking about. Replace Mensah and Ned so RB and at least one CB. He may go for a LB so that Bardo can cover either side. Replace Muntari and a proper LW 3 strikers and I would guess at a big signing and 2 back up.
